When your mom sends you a badass photo of your grandpa. Somewhere between 1951-1954 my grandpa was a officer on Alcatraz Island. Apparently he was stabbed in the back with a fork during a prisoner fight. I'm sure he had some crazy memories from working there. Sadly this man passed away when I was only 5, but man do I remember how much he loved me. Sometimes I joke with myself and say that's why I have such a love for San Francisco. That place just has a special place in my heart.
