CREA+ION ZINE - an introduction
- What is crea+ion?
crea+ion is a digital, non-profit zine that explores the many intersections between art and the forces that shape our lives — politics, identity, grief, joy, memory, and more. Each issue focuses on a single theme, and we publish essays, poetry, fiction, visual art, comics, and experimental works from creators of all backgrounds.
- What can I submit?
Writing:
Personal essays (max ~1200 words)
Poetry (up to 3 poems)
Short stories or experimental prose (max ~1500 words)
Letters, manifestos, testimonies (max ~1200 words)
Visual Work:
Digital/traditional art
Photography
Collage, scanned sketchbooks
Comics or illustrated poems
Mixed media or experimental works
- Editorial details
This zine will be free for all to access. All contributors retain rights to their work. We may suggest light edits, but you’ll always be consulted first. We value your voice, especially if you're from a community directly affected by war, colonization, or resistance.
- Donation info
The standard zine is free to access and download. Those readers who choose to donate to the PCRF and share proof of donation will be rewarded with an extended version of the zine. Any amount of money will be considered and rewarded as such.
