Newcastle waterways - Wharf road
A quiet reprieve is offered from the daily grind of life by sitting or walking along the foreshore, near Wharf road, part of Newcastle’s CBD. A chance to catch your breath and take in the amazing beauty of the harbour and flood your senses with the soothing sounds of gently lapping water. Infrequently the sound of a foghorn from a passing ship may break the serenity, or sea birds squawking overhead. Music occasionally drifts across from cafes, bars and restaurants nearby adding to the ambience of the moment.
Embrace it, inhale it
hold it
but forever know it
won’t leave you ever.
