Remi Teagan: A silly moment from Book 1

These were sketched out a while ago. I had made a new account for Twisted Wonderland to restart the game as Remi came across this part from Book 1. It never fails to make me laugh, so I wanted to draw it out with Remi saying either option. Also added the buffering because Remi, my beloved, needed a minute to process what Ace Trappola just said to him. Hope you enjoy my silly scribbles!

Melody: Huh… We got a letter, but it’s a question for us.

Remi: Ooo maybe that’s what the headmage meant by special mailbox. What’s it say?

Melody: “What dorm does everyone think they’d be in had the mirror been able to place you all?” Not sure from who though, no matter, hmm this is a good question though. You two have any ideas? I need to think.

Ember: Hmm, I think based on the dorm spirits we learned I’d think maybe Octavinelle I think benevolence fits me, and the dark mirror would agree.

Remi: Yeah good point, I’m honestly stuck between two. I feel like I want to be Heartslabyul only because we’re so close to Ace and Deuce and I feel like I know that dorm the best-

Ember: I think you mean you’re really close to Ace and Deuce.

Remi: I- I meant all of us Ember… anyways I lost my place.

Ember: You were talking about Heartslabyul, but still have to tell us what the other dorm is you were thinking.

Remi: Ah yes! Strangely enough, same as Ember, if we’re going based off spirits I’m thinking Pomefiore for tenacity, I feel like when I have a goal I’ll stop at nothing to reach it. Also I might have a little bit of bias because I love their dorm uniforms, but again I think that’s where the mirror would place me.

Ember: Nice! Well if we were talking aesthetically, I think I’d love to be in Diasomnia for their dorm uniform, I just don’t think I’d match the spirit of nobility.

Remi: Makes sense, Melody what about you?

Melody: I’ve been thinking and similar to you Remi I’d like to be in Heartslabyul purely for familiarity reasons, though not to say the spirit of strictness doesn’t apply to me, I just don’t think it’s my strongest trait. Though like Ember I feel like the spirit of benevolence is fitting, but I find myself debating that with the spirit of mindfulness In Scarabia. When it comes down to it I feel like the dark mirror would pick one of those three. Sorry for the long winded response.

Remi: Don’t worry about it, you know the dorms better than we do anyway.

Ember: Remi’s right honestly I think it’s fairly insightful that you were able to pick out those traits knowing it’s ultimately up to the dark mirror to pick one.

Melody: Well thank you both, what about you Grim?

Grim: I’m going wherever my hench humans go.

Remi: But we all said different places?

Grim: The great Grim will go to all of them.

Ember rolling her eyes: Okay Grim…

Melody chuckles: This was fun I wonder if we’ll get any more?

Omg thank you for being the first question!! Honestly this was a really good one. Got me thinking a lot for a few of them. I have a few more questions to work on :D. This is a perfect start to the new year, can’t wait to do more. Sorry this took so long, hopefully I can get the next couple questions out sooner.

Melody: Hello out there! Our headmage provided Ramshackle with a new mailbox, so we at the dorm can receive letters.

Ember: Remi and I won’t be expecting much.

Melody: Hey now, you can still get letters from student on campus. Plus Crowley mentioned something about this being a “special mailbox”, but knowing him that might just be referring to the paint job or something.

Remi: Fair enough. *chuckle* Any thoughts Grim?

Grim: Can I get Tuna in the mail?

Remi: Uh… it’s not impossible, I guess.

Melody: Grim if you want Tuna I’ll get you some from Sam’s Shop.

Ember: *shakes her head* Well this should be fun.

Melody White: Insane Heartslabyul AU DTIYS Submission

This is my submission for @plushieray2 DTIYS!

I absolutely wanted to put my dear Melody in this AU, partially because she’s so close with Trey, Riddle and Che’nya and partially because I like designing new silly outfits for her. :3 (Plus I love playing with character dynamics)

Some background for Melody for people unaware, she is an NRC student who grew up in the Queendom of Roses and was close friends with Trey Che’nya and Riddle, Trey became basically an older brother to Melody and they treat each other like siblings.

On with the show…

Now for the story, after Riddle’s overblot, Melody has noticed Trey and Riddle have been acting a bit off. While most of the campus is none the wiser, Melody knows her brother and knows something is up, so she reaches out. All she wants is to meet up and see him, preferably in her dorm of Ramshackle, but when he insists he can’t make it, but could make time in Heartslabyul for some tea, Melody agrees offering to bring cookies. Upon reaching the dorm the sweet scent of roses is in the air, Melody sat with Trey and talked over tea mentally noting the new outfit, as she sipped the rose tea and nibbled on the cookies. At first Trey seemed a bit off to her, but the longer she stayed things started to make sense? Sort of… Something was wrong. Melody said she had to go, as she wasn’t feeling well, Trey did follow for a bit before feeling Riddle’s hand telling him to let her go.

Melody didn’t make it far before reaching the rose maze and started puking blot, her head was fuzzy as she tried to focus. Pain cleared her mind as the rose maze reached out its vines entangling Melody and keeping her tethered to the dorm. Not long after Riddle joined her and much like her brother, seeing Riddle’s face her demeanor softened just enough to let go, and accept the joy that Riddle was spreading. Riddle freed Melody from the vines and comforted her, telling her she could stay in Heartslabyul with them. Melody was an honorary member of Heartslabyul, and completed the set of Riddle’s childhood friends, so Riddle would make an exception with bringing her joy.

What is Melody like now?

Melody is still battling the “joy” but rarely pokes through.

She is probably the most cheery member of this group as she had a friendly demeanor prior to her joining.

Her outfit is supposed to be a bit more ringleader than clown, due to the potential manipulation and control, Melody could do with her signature spell.

Some of the rose vines were stuck to her and are supposed to be puppet strings, as while she can control others, ultimately she is the one being puppeted. She usually hides them under long sleeves.

Relationships

Riddle: Melody spends quite a bit of time with Riddle, definitely not mentally trying to figure out how to fix this, totally… but does actually enjoy spending some quiet time with Riddle enjoying some tea. Riddle also enjoys her company, but does suspect there’s something going on. Also Riddle does have to tell Melody to stop encouraging the first years to spread the joy.

Ace: Melody is like the Mom friend to Ace and Deuce, though Melody can flip flop on her support of Ace and Deuce wanting to spread joy. Part of her wants to spread this joy to others, but the other part knows Riddle’s rules. Typically Riddle’s rules win out, so while Melody will encourage Ace to listen, she may also turn a blind eye when Ace brings some flowers to Epel. Though after Riddle’s punishment for Ace she’s become much more protective of the first years. Ace was confused at first why Melody was allowed to feel the joy, but after awhile of her being around got over it. He appreciates her comforting support especially after Riddle’s punishment.

Deuce: Melody is Mom friend, same as Ace, except with added emotional support as Deuce needs it. Deuce was also confused as Ace was, wondering why she could get joy but they couldn’t give joy to people like Yuuken. He gets over it and accepts her motherly nature.

Trey: Melody is happy to be with her brother and does try to get through to him when she has her moments, but Trey will calm her back to her joyful self. Melody bakes with Trey and they may or may not be workshopping some rose based treats. Trey is happy to have his sister closer to him and Riddle, reminds him of when they were kids, especially when Che’nya drops by.

Cater: Melody is concerned by Cater, almost immediately clocks that he knows too much also not a huge fan of his obsession with Riddle. She can tolerate being in a room with him, but she can just feel the glares he gives her at times. Cater is extremely jealous/salty of Melody’s presence and her natural closeness with Riddle. He thinks it was a mistake bringing her in and also knows she’s looking too hard into things.

Che’nya: Melody is so happy when she discovers Che’nya is here as well, they will chat a bit and she enjoys his chaos. Especially when it’s at Cater’s expense :). Che’nya is happy to see his old friend as well and does genuinely like causing chaos. He finds it funny how tense Cater gets around himself and Melody.

This was so fun to draw, I hope you enjoy! I tried to do at least one interaction with each of the Heartslabyul boys + Che’nya (I love Che’nya, especially for this AU). One of my favorite bits to draw was the Cater and Che’nya bit in the background mostly for the salt bit, but also I just love their dynamic. Plus adding Melody into the mix makes it much more complicated. Again hope you enjoy this rendition of my character in your AU.

I’m so glad you like it!! I love that you love the boots, cat boots and socks for my characters are like a staple XD. The skirt was super fun to design, I love putting outfits together. Also super happy you also enjoy the Che’nya and Cater bit as much as I do. Again this was super fun to make!!

I am facing ~$15k in costs due this month

I've started a gofundme, linked in the title. I'm so sorry to ask this of anyone but I'm at a loss for how to deal with this. My immediate upcoming expenses:

a water bill for almost $3500 dollars, with another one I estimate to be almost $1000 on the way (water leak of 240k+ gallons). I have tried to plead to lower it, but it is controlled through an HOA who refuses to budge. It must be paid on time and in-full. I no longer own this house and lost money in selling it

My car will not start, current unknown cause but likely to be the starter. The car has 200k miles on it and is nearing the end of its life

I have just moved cross-country for a job that may let me go soon (reference the news for context). I am paying to break an old lease, put a deposit on a new lease, and hire movers (saving money by only hiring labor and driving a truck ourselves). Breaking the old lease costs ~$2000, the deposit and first month’s rent on a new place costs $3300; I have not booked any moving help yet but my estimates from research is ~$3500-4000

All relevant proof is included on the gofundme site, and I truly mean it when I say I never wanted to turn to this; I do my best to take care of myself for when times are tough, but this is way too many things at once to have prepared for.

If anyone donates $30 or more, send me the receipt and i can do a small single-colored chibi as a thank you. Ideas that are stuck in my head pt. 1

I just need to get this idea out, because I’m not sure if I’ll ever be able to properly draw it out how I’m thinking of it. So, basically me being a listener of the Steven Universe soundtrack was casually listening and had a realization that “Do It For Her” made me think of Lilia and Silver. Lilia as Pearl and Silver is Connie, and Lilia is training Silver to be able to protect Malleus. I personally have a headcanon of Lilia having a past lover a long time ago, and Lilia would do whatever he could to protect her, during a time of war. So, when Lilia would slip saying “Do it for her,” he’s referring to that past love. Also Connie’s part just really fits Silver in my head like I feel like with Lilia’s training this is what Silver thinks or feels. Maybe I will try and draw it at some point but for now, if anyone sees this and wants to draw something for this or build off of this, let me know, tag me, I’d love to see it.
