Depending on the license chosen by the photographer, these photos may be shared or modified for personal or commercial use. Each post links to the original source and the license that dictates how the photo(s) can be used. All photos are unmodified unless otherwise stated. Welcome to Creative Commons Plants!

This blog exists to share high quality photographs of plants that are available for use under creative commons licenses.

Each post is tagged with the photograph orientation (portrait, landscape, or square), photograph subject (foliage, flowers, or fruit), and plant source (wild or cultivated). You can use the tags on this post to navigate through these major tags.

Additionally, if the photographer provided an identification or I can identify the plant, I tag posts with the Latin name and the English common name(s) that I am familiar with. Let me know if I get any species names wrong, and I can correct them!

Feel free to request photos of certain species, biomes, or regions via Ask!
