Welcome back! Do you plan on getting back in to cosplay at all?
Unfortunately, no. I had too many bad run ins with sexual harassment and sexual requests while in cosplay. And after the con I premiered the cosplay with, I lost almost all want to cosplay Paige.
The outfit started falling apart while in line- and the rain didn’t help. I was stressed with having to use tape to make the designs stick, because the iron on brand that had received good reviews didn’t work for me. Most of my day consisted of waiting for the con bus to go by Walmart, and spending food money on supplies to, hopefully, make it better. After the con and I got home, I put the cosplay on for a few extra times. Omegle, video chats, scripts, etc. To see all of my hard work go to nothing- I wasn’t in the best mood. The many pictures I had taken with and of me.. I seen maybe one, and it was the back of my costume to someone else’s picture. The first real cosplay I sank money into, around 200$, turned out to flunk. I didn’t feel like it was worth it anymore. I had no inspiration behind the character as I did during the process of getting everything together. Maybe one day I’ll get that creative flow for this character.
But really, thank you. I came back to a few messages with comments, compliments, questions, adoration, etc. You guys really, really made me smile. For now, I’m sticking to my FNAF OC cosplay. She’s something I’m still putting time into, and making her my own.
I do plan on picking this blog up here and there when I find new content. I run 4 other blogs: Rise of the Guardians OC, FNAF OC, Tera content, and another which I prefer to keep private for personal reasons. )
