James Corden secures £3MILLION two year extension deal for his US chat show
James Corden has landed a two-year extension on his US chat show deal after wowing viewers in his first few months.
The British comic, 36, only started fronting The Late Late Show at the end of March – but has audiences topping a million.
The new contract locks him in at the CBS show until 2020 and will make him a further £3million.
Guests to date have included Tom Hanks, David Beckham, Mila Kunis and Rod Stewart.
Corden’s comedy sketches with the stars – including posing in his pants with Becks – have proved a huge hit.
And after clips from the show notched more than 200 million views on YouTube, he is also cutting a deal to stream whole episodes on the site and post extra interviews with major US YouTube figures.
The show’s YouTube channel has racked up more than 850,000 subscribers.
The Late Late Show’s executive producer Ben Winston said: “YouTube has become a big part of the late-night TV experience.”
Earlier this month, Corden said he loves LA, adding: “I have a hunch LA will be a difficult place to leave.”
He initially was against doing the chat show but after some thought changed his mind.
He told Vogue: “Then I thought, actually, there’s a chance that it’ll be the very thing I’m best at.”
In another deal, James will also interview big YouTube names in the States who also have large fan bases online such as US entertainer Jenna Marbles, podcaster Tyler Oakley and the Slow Mo Guys and the creators of ‘Epic Rap Battles of History.’
Marbles, known for her comedic video blogs, has amassed more than 15 million subscribers.
Oakley, who is releasing a book in October, has more than 7 million subscribers on his channel.
CBS Entertainment Chief Nina Tassler said at a Television Critics Association event this week that viral videos are now a vital part of the late-night agenda.
Ben Winston, the executive producer for Corden’s show, said he is excited to film extra footage for YouTube.
He said: “YouTube has become a big part of the late-night television experience, and we are delighted to celebrate their 10-year anniversary this way.
“The show will be packed full of surprises, games and music - all with a YouTube twist.”

It is suggested to go for a brushless DC outrunner motor for your longboard. They are highly suitable for e-boards. Always select the motor’s KV rating between 150 to 280 KV and power between 1600 to 2800 watts.
Selection of the Battery
The batteries used in electric longboards are of two types, lithium polymer batteries, and lithium-ion batteries. You can use any one of them, but LiPo batteries are a cheaper option.
