Back from "hiatus" + update

[[ Sorry for disappearing, everyone. I just wasn't feeling Riel, but now I think I'm good for coming back.

IMPORTANT: I have all submissions and asks turned off right now due to the FBI Virus that's going around on tumblr, and it manifests itself through a fanmail after a reblog or a like from a source carrying the virus.

If a nonRP blog starts following me, and it clearly isn't Mass Effect related or a personal, I am going to ignore them. If you have a personal that is following me, PLEASE TELL ME WHAT YOUR URL IS, because I will be ignoring all nonRP blogs already following me.

Accidents Happen

Without a further word weasling itself from his mouth, the nurse had been cut off as he watched the human leave. She was something else, an independent force that had finally come crashing into another strong and independent wave. One would have to bend, to change the mold eventually. With the words left for his ears only, quiet confessions of the deeds the two hotheads of the ship had undertook, he’d find his lips locked, sealed professionally and personally as he’d return to a shift of watching the never changing clock mounted in the wall.

But off in another part of the ship, Vesperus wouldn’t of been with it at the hour Riel had returned. As he slept, pulled deep into the trance like sleep, did he feel the soft sensations of her warmth returning to the scene. Her touches were like that of a ghosts against the earthy carapace and leathery skin. Yet it were those touches and the soft mutter of her voice that had the turian shifting, and arm blindly sneaking out, patting at her side before reaching past. In a moment it might of seemed like he’d been reaching for something else, something beyond the human. And then in the next moment, the hand and arm would curl, moving to pull her closer to his being.

Steady breath would cycle through the large lungs, taking in the humans scent after he’d pull her in, closer to his own form. Even in this state, with his mind elsewhere did the presence of Riel seem to bring about a state of ease. One that allowed the tense muscles to relax and unwind. At least all of him except for his mandibles.

At the fingertips running against them, tracing the strange curves and shapes, they’d flicker before they’d flare open. Trying to absentmindedly avoid the careful and soft harassment against the sensitive surface.

"Stooop." Would come the quiet whine from the turian in his sleep, he’d make to shake his head, lean it back from her reach. But in his uncoordinated state of slumber he managed to barely move an inch.

She couldn't help but smile at the complaint in her own drowsy state. It distracted the heat that came across her face as he pulled her in against him suddenly, the anxiety that he wasn't as asleep as he appeared to be.

"Shut up and go to sleep." Riel muttered back, moving into the meager space he'd created in his pathetic attempt of escaping from her touch, crown touching the bottom of his chin. "Crotchety old turian." With another smile, she kissed his neck and tucked her forearms close to her chest as he body began to give into the weight of sleep.

There would be a bit of a unimpressed chuckle as she tried to flick her hair back and over the curve of her shoulder. “You know, I guess I will have to wait and then in the mean time i’ll have to ask you about your secret of gathering some eyes on you and perhaps a body in that bed of yours.” the rather quiet words would be spoken as he’d move to clean up the medical bay, hand rising over his mouth as he’d yawn. Inside, the nurse was rather jealous. Sometimes it seemed like a mistake to take up an occupation that demanded one happened to be on clock or on call at seemingly all hours of the day. But he was living his parents wish, upholding the family tradition at the sacrifice of enjoying what time might of been available before they’d all possibly meet their fate.

"Okay, would you like something to help carry it back to your room discreetly with or in?" Before he’d even wait for a reply, he was already busy emptying out one of the smaller boxes along the counter, moving to fill it of the supplies she’d listed and a few extras he thought she might appreciate in the long run. He’d fold over the arms, moving to close the box without the use of a one sides adhesive.If there was one technology that seemed prominent and to not quite change over the years, It had to of been the box.

Turning back he’d set it down on the table before he’d smack both of his hands together.With a more lively chuckle Sunflower would tilt his head “So, his endurance isn’t the best then? Thats strange. I’m wondering how the drive that can keep him on his feet and murdering for hours and sometimes days straight doesn’t apply to the bedroom… unless… ” fingers where being twirled about in the air as Sunflower made all sorts of gestures before he’d raise his hands in defeat. “I’m not even going to go there. It shouldn’t be my business. Now matter how tempting.”

Riel placed her hands on the box and proceeded to drum her fingers against it as she smiled to herself and looked down at the pattern the folded flaps made. "I have an excuse for it. Gene mods. But he did good for an ignorant virgin once he stopped scaring himself. Who knows? Maybe this will be a good, constructive outlet for him."

With that she grabbed the box and tucked it beneath her arm. She needed to stop talking. Sunflower was good at encouraging her to talk, but as she stood there listening to herself... She needed to stop.

"But thanks, Sun, I appreciate it." Shrugging her shoulders, she indicated to the box and to her thighs with her finger.

Before the golden-haired nurse could wrangle her into another conversation, Riel retreated from the medbay and back to her room. The hour was still early, a fact that reminded her with every clock mounted on the walls and blaring it in red numerals down corridors and passages. When she finally reached her quarters again, the pain was a distant memory eclipsed by narcotics and drowsiness.

She tucked the box away, attention turning to the turian that slumped onto his side at some point. Once more Riel found herself dealing with the strange, annoying sensations she'd felt while speaking to Sunflower, even as she tended to a job he should have and disposed of "the evidence." By the time she was perched on the bed, fingers idly roving along the plating covering his sinewy arms, the human was frowning.

This was a bad idea. Everything about this was a bad idea. From the day she made him stay to right now while she settled onto her side in the confines of his arms and dragged the blankets over their bodies, reminded of what they'd done by the scents that clung to her sheets and his skin.

"Damn you, Vesperus." Riel muttered to herself, fingertips running down his mandibles to trace their odd shapes while her consciousness began to slip from her.

Vesperus may or may not be laying in the middle of the walkway upon his stomach outside of Riels door. The turian may or may not be making a loud and obnoxious screeching noise to voice his frustrations of being "bored".

Riel may or may not be throwing open said door in nothing more than a towel because she's had enough of his screeching. And she may or may not also be yelling at him to hold his horses and to go find Raz if he really is THAT bored.

The moment she had stood after he’d covered the marks along her upper half, he’d stop, jaw dropping for a moment as his blue eyes scanned over the lower half, her things. They looked nearly worse than her back and instantly he could piece together just how their encounter had gone. He wouldn’t understand the small fine details hidden in printed text somewhere between the lines. No, he wouldn’t. But he knew enough from his studies, from all the medical textbooks he’d had to know between the erotica thrown in between his studies.

"Sometimes I wish this job would be easier. But i’m glad you’re not one of the other crew members. Better yet one who doesn’t come in drunk off their rocker and complaining about some gushing bite mark from who knows what." the nurse would ramble, huffing after he’d finished puffing the air out of his lungs in the disguise of words.

Reluctantly he’d return to his duties, carefully cleaning the gashes before he’d get to applying the layer of balm over each raised line. “Maybe you should keep him from his workouts so next time you don’t end up nearly as black and blue…” Sunflower would grumble before he’d rip his gloves off, done with that portion.

"Anyways, what may you like to keep in your stock?"

"Black and blue? Darling please." Riel laughed and shoved her hand into her hair, flicking it back over her shoulder haughtily. The effect found itself lost with the majority of her locks still damp and floppy. "Wait until I come in after some real fun, then you'll know the true meaning of black and blue. But I don't think I'll be keeping him from working out. Though I might take a file to his claws to prevent any... Accidents."

She paused, yanking her pants back up when he was done and the balm dried. "I think some basics. Medigel, gauze, certain oils or creams if you have them--his hands aren't exactly smooth. Painkillers are always helpful, but not something I'm going to need often unless this becomes a normal thing."

Again with the butterflies. A frown found it's way to her mouth as her brows creased, one hand absently rubbing her arm in a misguided effort to distract herself. They were frustrating, embarrassing. An old memory of things she didn't like to remember--of things she didn't want to remember

"But yeah," she piped up again, forcing a one of her sarcastic smiles. "Maybe I'll start helping him with those workouts. Endurance training, and all that."

The nurses face would go blank for a moment as she’d reveal the map of inflamed flesh. “Wowie, okay, thats simple to fix but man that looks nice… I guess it was some fun after all? Which i’d peg for as a big surprise. But thankfully, my lips are sealed. Patient - Doctor confidentiality. Last thing I want is some angry law enforcer shoving their opinion up my ass as I get my license and such revoked.”

After pulling on a pair of gloves, Sunflower would bite his bottom lip. Going through the thing’s he’d grabbed until he grabbed a jar. “This is a light paste. It won’t leave any residual gunk on the skin but will help with this and I can give you something for the pain with some uh, back up supply for a longer term in case you two go at it again.”

With careful hands he’d move to apply the first dose along her back. Fast and with a practiced precision. It would only take a moment before he’d be ripping off the gloves and shoving the jar into her hands.

Riel cupped the jar in her palms, turning it over to glance at the doctor's text scrawled on the back while a slight smile tugged at her lips. Again. Now there was an idea. Vesperus wasn't a man she could jump on at any given moment, at least not currently, but down the line...

She wiggled with a little shiver that went up her spine and hid her face behind her hand, pretending to ruffle her bangs to her liking now that they were dried.

"Not my fault turians are bigger than humans." Riel hummed as she set the jar aside and stood, sliding her slouchy pajama bottoms down to expose the backs of her thighs to him. "And, by the way... You aren't done yet." That he hadn't pierced her thighs in his death grip was a relief, but that didn't mean they escaped abuse. Her skin was a mess of enflamed expanses from scrapes and chafing to the gashes caked with blood fresh from the disturbance of showering.

The nurse would simply nod as he drew the blood, setting aside the collected samples as he’d apply pressure against the site. “I could get you things, write it up as if the healing is a little delayed for the residing site of the stab wound. That way when people go digging its not something about having a thing for probably really big turian.” Sunflower would finally speak up, taping the labels over the glass tubes he’d set aside. “Then again, with a temper like that I sort of doubt size would be present. Most assholes have small dicks.”

With that the human moved to go set some of the samples down against one of the far counters, Rifling through the supplies they had out. about and on hand. “Aha!” with a light returned to his blue eyes he’d practically skip over to Rie with an arms full of things. “Now, show me your back first and honey, please don’t tell me you ended up with some sort of infection. Because I don’t think I can cover up a prescription for the likes of those medications. Very specific, you know. So don’t tell me if you’ve got some sort of an itch or rash goin’ on downstairs. I’d rather have Chakeer deal with things like that!”

She didn't bother to elaborate or correct the nurse, but a small, knowing sort of smile came across her mouth. Let him think what he wanted. He didn't need to know his assumption was quite wrong.

Riel sat herself up and swiveled about on the table before she dragged her sweater up and over her head to cup it over her torso, hiding her skin from the nurse and his nosy comments.

"I don't, Sunflower, no. Just stuff like this." She gestured to her back with the nod of her head. Angry red lines criss-crossed her bare back, ribs and hips, inflamed with freshness and the demands of her shower. She didn't really notice the pain radiating from them until now.

With the change in her attitude from palatable to down right sour, the male nurses face dropped. The teasing smile gone and replaced by that of a frown. “Well, i’ll try to hurry this up then…” Sunflower would grumble, blue eyes losing their shine for a moment as he moved to gather a blood sample from his cranky patient.

Half way through the slow and cautious draw, the slender man would glance up at her, that curiosity once again returned. “… How was it?” he’d ask, risking his head as curiosity had gotten the best of him. He knew from the way they’d interact that the human and turian had something else growing from the strange seeds of hate they begun with.

If there was one thing she hated more than being embarrassed, it was needles, they way they sank into the skin with sickening ease, and sensation of their invasive bodies lodged inside a vein. Sunflower found himself lucky that the only distraction available to her was answering his question.

"Could have been worse..." Riel muttered to herself, as she turned her head away ran her hands over the backs of her thighs. "I was going to ask if you'd help with my back and if you had something for pain that wouldn't knock me on my ass, and that works better than the generic stuff."

Through his movements back and forth from one side of the medbay to the next, he’d stop as he’d run the scan with his omni-tool collecting vitals. His eyes would trail over the scratches, still so fresh against her light skin. An eyebrow would quirk, suspicion plastered over his face before a sly smile spread to his freckled face. “Sleeping. Is that what you call it now?” he’d tease.

Carefully he’d moved to look at the site of the wound, cold fingers poking at the skin carefully. “Any of the muscle or skin tender or sore, besides from anything you might of been just previously engaged in doing?" Sunflower would let his words linger before the smirk turned into a grin.

"So, who was it?"

Riel glared at the ceiling as he teased. Her temper began to curdle as he spoke, face going red as frustration and humility started to creep up on her. With strangers, it was easy to pass off their teasing and comments, but with Sunflower the words struck a sensitive spot. "I was sleeping when you called me. But it's fine besides the usual soreness." she barked, defensive. "And I'm not telling you. You can figure it out."
