The Goth Family

I love the Goths. My first ever sim became best friends with Bella and invited her out for drinks like every night. I've given them makeovers a couple of times, but when the update changing their skin tones and features was released, I knew I had to give them another shot. So here they are in all their glory, looking less whitewashed and more like the Addams family. I kept a lot of their outfits the same and only made minor adjustments since I quite like their updated version, it just needed to be a bit more "me"!

Riverside Roost: home to the Matlocks and the Cutlers

This double shotgun house has had major renovations in the last few years! Each unit has an identical but mirrored floor plan, updated appliances, and a fresh coat of paint. While the property owners' unit has a colourful scheme to suit their tastes, the second unit has been left neutral to suit anyone's needs. The current residents have added their own dark twist by painting a few extra walls and furnishing the unit with mostly black furniture. It isn't what the property owners would have wanted from their tenants, but they can't complain about something so minor when the residents are otherwise so quiet and well-behaved.

This might be my favourite house in the neighbourhood. The exterior is lovely with the yellow siding and red flowers, and I'm super proud of the floor plan I've made while keeping the original build in mind.

The Cutler Family

Aubrey has always been the type to keep to herself, even at times isolating herself from her own kids. She loves Nicole and Aiden greatly but has too many secrets to tell them the intimate details of her life. The kids, having grown up in this slightly cold-shouldered environment, are used to not knowing their mother very well and prioritizing their independence. Nicole is excited to move out soon for university. School has never been a priority, but getting out of the house to meet new people is! Aiden also loves making friends and has become extremely close to the boy next door.

Meet the Matlocks

This sweet family seems to have just stepped out of a storybook! Delilah and Marcella fell in love only a few short years ago. Delilah was working her way up to being a teacher and Marcella had just recently purchased an old double shotgun house in Willow Creek that was in need of major renovations. It wasn't originally Marcella's plan to spend the rest of her life here, but so many memories of their budding romance are attached to this home. Officially moving into Riverside Roost with Delilah and adopting Tyler are two of the best decisions that Marcella has ever made.

While initially designed as a large and affordable family home, Brook Bungalow is now in its new phase of life. This house has been renovated to suit the expensive tastes of its current residents.

A Distasteful Duo

Beau and Aliyah have shared a dream of opening a sophisticated and luxurious restaurant in Willow Creek. Beau has been in charge of all things food—creating new recipes, curating the plating process, and training head chefs—while Aliyah has been in charge of the business end of things—renovations of the old historic home they purchased to become the glorious restaurant they now share, weighing costs, and keeping to a schedule. Their work together has been stressful and a distraction from their crumbling relationship. Now, they are left with a profitable restaurant, a beautiful home, and a pregnancy that Aliyah doesn't think she wants when she's no longer in love with her husband. But what is there to do when their lives and livelihoods are so intertwined?

I promise that Aliyah is not a witch lmao, she's just tense from the pregnancy and Beau's pose was too perfect to not capture for this post. This family owns a restaurant I have already built, but I'm posting the family homes before any community lots so stay tuned!

I'm currently building the Landgraab mansion for my save file... holy heck it's a project and a half.

I've seen a lot of other creators do a very modern build with a white, bright, rich lady interior design style but I am trying to keep the majority of Oasis Springs very midcentury.

This sunken living room emulates the overall vibe I'm trying to give the home. I'm so so happy with it so far and think I'm really making this my own vs. copying what others have done for the Landgraabs. Let me know what you think!

Pique Hearth: home to the Pancakes

I renovated the original home instead of building from scratch and think this turned out well, though part of me wishes for more flair on the exterior to make the style more New Orleans-esque.

I gave this build four bedrooms: a master with an ensuite for Bob and Eliza, a first-floor office for Bob (with a Murphy bed for when Eliza inevitably kicks him out of their room during a fight), a room for Iggy, and a smaller room that I figure was used as a nursery and left in case there's a potential for more kids down the line. I don't foresee myself going down that route intentionally but this way there's also flexibility for future generations to use the home.

Following EA’s rebranding of the Sims 4, almost all existing images or graphics of the series are no longer supported. Rindle Rose: home to the Pink Ladies

This home was inspired by Victorian dollhouses I saw on Pinterest. It feels very dated, especially the pink tiled bathrooms, but I'm excited to refurbish it in the future once I play through the current family's storyline (maybe a little morbid/sad, but hey, I like this house).

As Gloria has gotten older, she's learned to appreciate the little things... particularly, the tiny furballs she's adopted over the years. Recently, as her health has declined, her daughter and granddaughter have moved into her doll-like Victorian home to help with care and upkeep. Gloria's laid-back attitude has always driven Rachelle crazy, but Audra adores her quirky grandmother. Rachelle thinks that it's time for Audra to grow up, but Gloria insists that she remain spoiled for as long as she's around.

Potters Splay: home to the Fujimura family

In a neighbourhood as old as Willow Creek, you have to expect that homes come with a certain... charm. Some of them, well, they just happen to be haunted!

I love the eclectic and whimsical interior style of this home. I built this when Paranormal Stuff was first released and enjoyed using the new items in combination with a few touches from Vampires to give a bit of an antique feel.

The Fujimura Family

So here's the thing: this family is somewhat haunted. They moved into an old but charming neighbourhood in Willow Creek without considering the history that comes with these old homes. So there's weird stuff happening at the house, but Eloise is also haunted by her past. Paisley's father was not the greatest sim, so Eloise is untrusting of Ken even though he has never proven to be unfaithful. Meanwhile, he's spending more time at work because he wants to avoid the suspicious stuff going on at home. On top of all of this, Paisley is realizing she's different than her siblings due to her pointed ears and special... abilities. She needs her mom's advice more than ever, but she's fighting for it against a toddler and an infant.
