Card of the day
Call Me Butterfly Spell
What you need :
-blue marker/pen -1 sheet of paper
How you do it :
Draw an angel or a butterfly on a sheet of paper.
Then, with maximum concentration in all phases, we proceed:
Then write the name of the person on the other side of a sheet of paper. After that, recite the following words:
Now you’re still holding a paper in your hand, and you need to imagine the person finally calling you.
Hold the sheet tightly between your hands and say:
“Element of air I would like to (name) call me. Help me send this message to (repeat the name).“
“I’d like to hear from you, call me!“
Repeat the chant one more time, and then fold a sheet of paper into three parts and place it under a telephone or a cell phone.

Sigil Baths
What is a sigil bath?
Simply put it’s a bath that you can put sigils into and to activate them without using fire. It’s a wonderful way to practice “in the forest” magic or if you’re in an apartment safer to do.
They are great for glamour, beauty, cleansing, and pretty much any other thing you can think of. Make sure the sigils in the bath don’t “fight each other”. By this I mean, putting a sigil for “energy” in the same bath as a sigil for “relaxation” isn’t beneficial. Likely, the two would cancel each other out. Make sure they correspond together and work well such as a job success sigil with a luck sigil and confidence sigil used together before an interview. Or a happiness sigil used with a self-love sigil after a bad day.
What you will need:
Sigils of your choice
Washable markers
Paper (lined or printer)
Salt (any kind, I use epsom)
Moon Water
(optional) Bubble Bath of choice
(optional) Sachet of Herbs that correspond with Sigils
Steps:
Gather your supplies together and make sure your bathroom is clean as well as the tub. Find the sigils you wish to use. Meditate or center yourself if needed.
Select the colors of markers you wish to use. I recommend you use colors that correspond with the purpose of your sigil. On the either torn or cut down pieces of paper so they are about palm sized, draw a sigil. For each sigil use a different piece of paper. If wanted you may write words on pieces as well or with the sigils.
Start your bath. Make sure it is warm but not scalding. As the water fills add in your bubble bath if you wish to use it and your sachet of herbs if you wish to use them too.
Once tub is half filled add in your salt, I usually add about a tablespoon maybe two so I don’t get dry skin. Pour in your moon water as well.
Place or sprinkle the sigils into the bath then get in.
Soak and relax, meditate if you can. The sigils in the bath will fade due to the washable ink and they will activate inside of the bath. Feel their energy and think about their intent, feel how they charge the water.
Once you are satisfied with your bath remove the paper carefully from the water before draining to prevent clogging.
Continue on with the rest of your day!
spell jars 101 ⚱
how to craft a spell jar:
gather your ingredients
charge & program each ingredient before adding it to the jar (aka, give power & instructions to your ingredients)
add the ingredients to the jar
close the jar
enchant the jar as a whole object (see my post on enchanting items for further guidance)
seal with wax, ribbon, or string to finalize & cast the spell
optional: decorate your bottle if you wish
what you can use as a jar:
tiny craft store jars
mason jars
pickle / pasta sauce jars
old medication bottles
food storage containers
what you can add to a spell jar:
dried herbs
dried citrus peels
magickal powders
small crystals
gem chips
essential oils (a drop or two will go a long way)
infused oils (carrier oils such as olive or grapeseed oil that have been infused with herbs)
a few drops of charged water (storm water, war water, sea water, holy water, rain water, moon water, sun water, etc.)
paper (with sigils / symbols / glyphs drawn on it, an incantation, a name, a phrase, etc.)
coins
beads
glitter or confetti
seashells / shark teeth / beach sand
leaves
DNA (finger nail clippings, a piece of hair, etc. to be used as a taglock)
animal fur, nail clippings, teeth, or whiskers***
nails, glass, pins, needles, thorns, & other sharp objects (great for cursing, binding, banishing, or protection)
vinegar, lemon juice, pickle juice (mostly for “souring” a situation)
honey, sugar, syrup (to “sweeten” a situation or for attraction)
pretty much anything that fits & corresponds to your intent
what you should avoid putting in a spell jar:
fresh herbs or plant material (this can cause mold to grow inside of the jar)
biological secretions (i mean, you can if you want but it’s not necessarily sanitary & there are cleaner, more easily obtained taglocks to use instead)
what spell jars are good for:
containing your spell, theoretically making it easier to manipulate & control
manifesting goals/intentions over time
manifesting goals continuously
passive manifestation that doesn’t require much ongoing participation from the caster
what to do with your spell jar once it’s been crafted:
keep it on your altar
depending on the intent of the spell, keep it in a different area that you frequent (for glamours, keep it in the bathroom; for sleep or dreams, keep it in the bedroom; for safe travels, keep it in your vehicle; for cursing, keep it concealed in a black box; etc.)
wear it around your neck
put it in your pocket, purse, or backpack
bury it in your backyard or within a potted plant outside (for spells you don’t plan to undo or want to last indefinitely)
if burying is not an option, hide it somewhere on your property
leave it at a crossroads
recharging spell jars:
shake it up
light a candle on top of or next to it
submerge it in a bath of herbs or crystals that are associated with energy
submerge or surround with sea salt (a natural conductor of energy)
anoint with oil / blessed or charged water
pair with a tarot card or rune stone that matches your intent
suffumigate with incense smoke
energy work & visualization
disposing of & reversing spell jars - when you feel like the spell has done its job or you need to undo its effects:
do not throw the entire jar into an open flame - this is incredibly dangerous
remove the contents from the jar & either burn them or bury them
for items you wish to save, cleanse them thoroughly before using them again
take the jar & cleanse it in whatever manner you choose & either save it to be reused; or shatter it & then dispose of it properly
***please practice safe & ethical harvesting when it comes to using parts from a living animal in your craft; don’t ever trim whiskers off of your pet (if they come out naturally then it’s okay to use them); routine grooming is a great way to obtain some of the things i mentioned; you can use the baby teeth that you inevitably find when your puppy or kitten is teething, also!

@thebibliosphere I made you an essential oils masterpost
I’m genuinely on the verge of tears.
Thank you for taking the time to go through my blog and do this. It’s something I keep trying to do and then get overwhelmed by and give up in frustration and tears because I inevitably read the comments and just want to jettison my blog into the sun.
Thank you for this.
Also lol, you can very clearly document through these posts when I started recovering from the jaw bone infection and got off the pain killers. They become much more consistent, expansive and a whole lot angrier hahaha
Thank you 💖💖💖
YES! To all of this!
When making sigils
don’t use future tense.
Instead of “I will be successful” write down “I am successful”.
The future tense only means that your goal will never come to you, because it’s stuck in the future forever and there is no point in time when it should come true. Unless you write “I will be successful when I am thirty” the future will never come, because you have no fixed point in time.
If you write it in future tense you’re basically saying “nah, no big deal, this has time…” and your subconsciousness will postpone it forever. If you say that you are something there is not other option but to fulfill your wish and work towards it. Your sigils are stronger that way.

How To Create Accurate Tarot Readings
worry not — know that the deck is 99% accurate already. it is merely your part of the equation to maintain that precision in the reading. cards can be unresponsive, but they can’t lie. instead of trying to fix a deck that seemingly doesn’t work, developing faith in being able to extract its truth is your stepping stone.
many meanings, but one hits home… the card will never not give you the crucial hint. but usually in roundabout ways. to find the one meaning of dozens that is meant, what i found helps is to go on and on interpreting. until: you arrive at the point where you run out of textbook meanings (which are also important) and get the important idea along the way. trying to coax it out of yourself right away usually doesn’t work, it comes to you in the process.
hobby writers wanted, dead or alive. translating your thoughts and intuition into words is a needed skill that you can develop in other areas of life already, only to bring it to the table when it comes to doing readings. after all: every ‘reading’ is a ‘writing’, at least online.
cicero’s club: are you a talented orator? take note if writing doesn’t come easily to you. you might be a much more gifted speaker. face-to-face or on camera with clients or a youtube audience suits this type of reader ten times better. the accuracy of the reading will follow suit.
put those talents in a blender. if you find yourself making videos or talking to querents via skype etc, but are more secure in terms of written readings, arrange it so you can possibly get the question first and lay out the spread beforehand. jotting things down, no matter how messy, is your strength. go for creating a little grimoire-esque tarot notebook.
the clash of minor v major arcana. how much weight you put into things depends on that. major arcana have to be emphasized as long-term trends. minor arcana are more fleeting. timing is so, so important. if you stress the major arcana, the accuracy increases.
tarot cloth & co.: cards like a cozy place. make them a nice home, if you will, and have a special reading place/table if possible, although i did find they like to see the world and be spread out in different places. tarot cards are responsive to deliberation and respect.
belief makes or breaks the deal. how much you think your deck actually reflects reality is as important as trusting it. as i said, you don’t need to worry about your deck being on point. you have to be the one operating from the viewpoint of knowing it is dead-on. in whatever funny way that may be the case. as long as you think ‘yes, this mirrors something important’, you can be a good reader.
don’t be a four of pentacles — use the deck plenty. for questions about yourself, too! the deck likes to clarify things for you, of whatever nature. the deck came to you, so it has all the answers for your interests. trivial questions are valid, even if many tarot readers will tell you to keep it sophisticated. the imagery has plenty of clues for daily life things. i once went to a party and pulled the nine of cups beforehand. what went down? someone brought their beer pong set. which as you know has nine cups on either side. it’s an old tradition, but tarot is more up to date than you think.
witchy decor: have a crystal or treasured charm ready. you could put say a clear quartz point or something like say a vintage key on the resting deck. it keeps the pile in order. put weight on the cards and the cards will hold weight. can i get an amen?
shuffling simplicity. mixing overhand and riffle shuffles is all you need, it doesn’t have to be fancy nor abrasive to the cards. simple shuffle, simple results. the cards come out the way they want to anyway.
the very personal meaning. on top of literature and advice from others, figure out how your particular TOWER, EMPRESS, etc comes out. for whom in particular. i think that’s more important. cards eclipse people.
combine symbolic clues with literal imagery. i made bad experiences with ignoring either in favor of the other. there’s a reason why each card tells a visual story, but there’s also a historic custom behind the abstract meanings. consider both and you can approach the truth of the card very easily.
Lavender Syrup
This recipe is great for a syrup to add to your tea or coffee for a little sweetness and flavor. It’s really good for simple spells as well and can be put out as an offering to fae and spirits alike. I like to add it to my tea at night for visions while I sleep. I also have started using it as an offering to one of my spirit companions and they love it.
1 cup water
2 cups white granulated sugar or sugar substitute
3 tablespoons - ½ cup lavender*
STEPS
Place water and lavender into a saucepan and bring to a boil.
Add in sugar or sugar substitute; stir until the sugar has dissolved completely before turning down the heat and allowing simmering for 15 minutes
Make sure to stir it every so often as to make sure nothing on the bottom burns
Remove from heat, cover, and allow the syrup to cool for ½-1 hour. The longer that you let it sit the more intense the flavor it will be.
Once it is cool, strain of the lavender and transfer into a jar. Store in the fridge
*The more lavender that you add the more intense the flavor will be as well. I personally use ½ cup of lavender for a more intense smell and flavor. As well as let it sit for an hour in the pot as it cools. The longer that you let it seep the darker the color will be too. It turns out to be a lovely purple color regardless.
Depending on the type of tea you use too will depend on

Major Arcana | Wands | Cups | Swords | Pentacles
Card of the day
Discovering Your Life Purpose with Tarot
You may have more than just one passion. But which is meant to give your soul ultimate satisfaction?
Step 1: Prepare your deck.
Remove the Major Arcana, the Pages and the Knights. Set them aside.
You should have 48 cards left: the Minor Arcana’s aces through tens, the Queens and the Kings.
Step 2: Ask 12 times.
Shuffle your cards as you ask, “What do the powers that be declare this incarnation’s purpose to be?”
Focus intently, ensuring you do not stumble on the words. In case you do, stop. Take three deep breaths, and begin the count from one again.
Step 3: Read the rogues.
If, while shuffling, certain cards jumped out of the deck, read them now, using the meanings you know.
They are clues from the divine. The positive-leaning cards are what will help you achieve your purpose, and the negative-leaning ones are the obstacles you need to overcome.
Step 4: See the answer.
Turn over your shuffled deck, so that the cards are facing you.
Set aside the first 11 cards you see. The 12th is your answer.
Step 5: Heed your purpose.
The Aces
Your life purpose is not only to accept or love yourself, but to admire and worship it. Your past lives were filled with insecurity and self-loathing. In this incarnation, the powers that be want you to set that right.
The Twos
Your life purpose is not only to experience material abundance, but to revel in it. Your past lives overflowed with nothing but scarcity and lack. In this incarnation, the powers that be want you to experience the opposite of that.
The Threes
Your life purpose is not only to speak your mind but to be admired for it. You had no voice in any of your past lives. In this incarnation, the powers that be want you to sing to the world and know what it is like to be applauded.

✨ Chai spells ✨
Now that it’s getting colder I feel like it’s time to post about chai spells!
✨ Basic recipe for chai ✨ - ¾ mug of milk (or milk alternative) - ¼ mug of water - Any tea that goes with milk (so no green or fruit teas) - Sugar or honey to taste
Heat up your milk, water and sweetener, once boiling whisk in your tea. If using black or milk oolong tea then do not exceed 45 seconds of stirring - it seems like a small amount of time but your chai will be bitter if you go over this time! Any tea other than black tea would be alright for a bit longer, but you shouldn’t need much time at all!
Pour the chai through a strainer and serve! Drink this while hot for the best flavour (though it doesn’t taste bad if it gets cold either)
_
For the following spells, use the milk, water and sweetner and then add the tea specified! Feel free to personalise your blends!
✨ Self love chai ✨ - Black tea - Culinary dried rose petals
✨ Protection chai ✨ - Black tea - Cinnamon - Ginger - 2 peppercorns
✨ Banishing chai ✨ - Black tea - Basil leaves (chopped) - Ginger
✨ Sleepy time chai ✨ - Culinary lavender - Culinary dried rose petals
✨ Happiness chai ✨ - Black tea - Cinnamon - Orange peel
✨ Confidence chai ✨ - Black tea - Nutmeg - Cinnamon
✨ Divination chai ✨ - Milk oolong tea - Peppermint
✨ Purity chai ✨ - Milk oolong tea - Coconut
✨ Lucky chai ✨ - Black tea - Cardamom - Cinnamon - Clove
_
Happy brewing everyone! Enjoy many cups of magical chai ✨
