Hi I’m Loyd/the moth man

I’m a nonbinary trans man (pronouns they/him) and I would appreciate that you use my preferred pronouns when talking to me

I’m not in a lot of fandoms but I do like monkey kid, cookie run characters, glitch shows and magical girls

Do not trace or repost my art on other platforms. I’ve spent years working on my art skills and would rather people see my art through reblogs and links to my posts rather then someone taking my work and putting it on their social media, with credit or not

Idea related to the mutant rocky stuff

It’s an emergency. The cult of eden has taken over a building, and caused a stand still with the cops by threatening to blow it up with all the hostages inside. Grace is outside as spider man and is on edge, until he gets a call from colt, who was 1 of the hostages. Colt tells him and the cops about the cult taking blood samples from all the hostages, and that he snuck away after his blood was taken and beat up a cult member

Some die hard stuff happens, with colt using his stuntman skills to take out enough cultists for the cops to storm the building. but once they do, the remaining cultists set the bomb off and everything goes down hill. The building starts collapsing while some cops and colt are getting the hostages out. Everyone is almost out, but colt gets stuck somewhere. grace rushes in to help colt but when he gets to him, it’s to late, as the building crumbles beneath colt and the only thing grace can do is watch as he falls

Eva gives grace a long paid break, all while keeping the secret of colts missing body from him as she assembles a team to keep tabs on the cult and try to find any evidence on what they might be planning in the future

the brain moths like @/idgabuck’s streamer Simon au so much they won’t stop giving me ideas for a variant of it where, after grace is thrown into space, human rocky finds out and grieves by inventing something (I’ve been calling it the star gate, but the name might change) that can travel the speed of light, and he refuses to let anyone else accept him and simon use it

The 2 of them now work for eva, going on research and or maintenance missions, which simon is allowed to stream as their space shenanigans are public knowledge. Every time they’ve finished a mission they secretly travel closer and closer to tau ceti, desperately hoping to find grace before they inevitably have to go back to earth

After a lot of missions and becoming pros at the astronaut thing, the 2 are traveling at the space of light when something flies at them out of nowhere. Rocky dies right when they’re hit and simon is succumbing to his wounds. right before he dies, he sees the glimpse of what he can only describe as an angel he shouldn’t be able to see before everything fades into nothingness. Simon then wakes up in his bed on the ship

It was all just that dream again, that totally normal dream. Everything is fine. Simon will just do something different this time, and he and rocky will be competing fine, and he won’t have to wake up from the dream and start everything over again. Everything is fine! Ignore the incomprehensible languages simon is hearing and slowly understanding with each time he “wakes up” after dying in his so called “dream”

More mutant Rocky headcanons

Rocky helps find any escaped shield experiments. Whenever a spider gets out, it’s common for rocky to be the 1 to find it. The scientists always have mini heart attacks when they see a spider missing, and are very apologetic when rocky comes to them with their missing trouble making arachnid

The scientists owe rocky a lot of free lunches (and meds)

Rocky runs hot, which is very inconvenient, since he needs to wear a bunch of long sleeved tops and pants due to both his job and his sensory issues. He’s a sopping wet puddle on the sand floor when it’s summer. He also hates summer for this reason

I’ll try experimenting with his design when I get motivation. I also want to try designing my own spider grace, but I don’t have any ideas for his base suit. @/kyri45’s spider grace is just so good, I can’t think of anything different

Rocky’s english isn’t the best. He understands enough to know what people are saying and to have conversations but he still mixes up words and doesn’t use specific words, and sometimes he has to use tone indicators to help people understand what he’s trying to say. Rocky doesn’t improve his english as he’s to focused on making random gadgets, plus people understand him well enough

Tweak to my mutant rocky headcanon

Rocky’s eyes are now just as good as the rest of his senses, which isn’t good when the rest of your senses are so extreme, it makes touching the ground and actual torture technique. In the day, Rocky’s vision is like the most over exposed camera possible, which is why he walks into work always wearing his welding goggles. night is when rocky is most comfortable. It’s a lot less noise and it’s dark enough that he doesn’t need his googles to be outside comfortably. He’s still carful about where he looks, since every light that isn’t a star is just an LED that makes his eyes sting (I imagine his vision at night looking like astigmatism)

Bonus headcanons that I came up with while typing this

rocky works for shield as an engineer, making suits, weapons, other things… the building he works at is the same 1 grace works at and has been remodeled in recent years to ensure disabled workers (like rocky) are able to work comfortably. For rocky specifically, there’s sand paths if he wants to walk outside without his crab chair, all the lights have been changed from LED’s to a warmer and less bright lights and his room is covered in soundproofing

Rocky’s favorite type of weather is snow because it’s the quieter weather he notices and laying outside in the snow is really cathartic for him. It always reminds him of the times he’d lay in the grass as a kid

Rocky is mexican. I can’t explain this 1, I’ve just had this headcanon the moment I found out human versions of rocky exist

Since Rocky can’t go fight crime with grace, he puts an ai named mary into his mask. Rocky can see what grace asks mary and glanced at at his phone from time to time just to make sure the emergency protocols didn’t activate

Rocky Loves baths. If Rocky goes into an overstimulated panic, and it’s his day off, he runs to the bath and stays there for a long time (he puts some music or an audio drama on once he’s a little more calm). Grace gets jump scared the first time he walks in on rocky sleeping in the tub. He has to wake him up and carry him to bed

Rocky has a love (borderline hyperfixation) for rocks and fossils. He wanted to be an archaeologist when he grew up and his classmates gave him the nickname of rocky. Rocky still loves rocks but stays a good distance away from them because touching a rock on the ground requires touching the ground. He settles for a little rock collection with a few fossils (if adrian sees a cool looking rock, they bring it home and give it to rocky. It always makes him happy)

Back in college, rocky got some tattoos from adrian (Adrian does tattoos for fun sometimes). After a little bit of rocky and grace working together and being friends, they and adrian go out for drinks and grace end up getting a tattoo that matches 1 of rocky’s. Grace doesn’t know what the tattoo means, his drunk mind just thought it looked cool

I’m supposed to be asleep. Instead, I’ve been looking at bloodymary for 4 hours and am posting a rough grace design for a weird idea I’ve been thinking about recently

The idea. for a few months, grace has been warping into the iron lung universe whenever he enters a dream state. Time doesn’t act the same for him and he ends up interacting with simon before the destruction of filament station. After the nightmare of filament station, the iron lung stuff happens and his dreams about simon end, until the tree simon is apart of is dug up by a rogue space station. The eldritch being who talks to simon is freaking out because it doesn’t know where is possible avatar went and it ends up snatching grace from his sleep, hoping he can help find the simon (and hopefully, maybe give both it and simon a way out of the dead universe they’re stuck in)

I’m trying to figure out how to give him plant mutations without activating my fear of plants growing out of creatures. Thinking of making him a sea sheep because they resemble plants, can do photosynthesis and are cute

Just finished watching TADC Episode 9. Wow.

I won't get into spoilers since it just released on Youtube, but it was incredible. I have so many thoughts I'm struggling to put into words at the moment.

It's crazy seeing something that I've been watching since the first episode came out finally end. I've grown and changed as a person since that first episode. It feels kinda cringy to say it, but TADC really helped me during tough times in my life, and it will forever hold a special place in my heart.

I'll miss the excitement of waiting for the next episode to come out. But it was a good place to end the story. It wrapped up beautifully and was a perfect ending in my opinion.

Gooseworks made an incredible story. There's a part of every character that I identify with, especially Caine. I guess that's why I gravitated towards him so much, and why my AU is based on him redeeming himself.

I hope you all continue to stay with me now that TADC is over. I plan to finish this AU no matter what, even if it takes years. I know I haven't posted a lot of art, but that will hopefully change as times goes on.
