I’ve dropped from frw, and I’m not sure I plan to use this blog anymore, but I couldn’t help checking this dash and then seeing this (which is all on me) and I just really wanted to get across my point that I made in the post prior to this. I tried to be as eloquent as I possibly could and if I failed then I failed. But if anyone is still following me who did not want to see that I sincerely apologize you’re free to unfollow this blog immediately.

To clear things up, though I doubt it will help – I am just irked that a group was disrupted for something that did not need to involve everyone. Rules were in place, and im not sure if this rule was stated from the get go, but if it was, then by apping it was assumed that you did read the rules, and so you knew what you were getting into. Therefore, doing this seemed to only stir the pot, and that is what I find immature. You can not get mad at a mod for enforcing the rules that it was your job to read.

Call me whatever names you desire, as I know how I feel about these issues and am secure with my ideologies. It wasnt the trans headcanon that prompted my response, I could care less how your char. identifies, it was the response after the fact that frustrated me.

Sending me death threats, calling me names, threatening me on my other blogs, over twitter and also threatening my pets is not an appropriate way to help anyones cause.

If you don’t mind me riding on this wave and putting my two cents.on a few things:

1. As I mentioned to some people over the private message, I did not know of the trans community until 4 years ago. It does not excuse my ignorance but I only knew of that from my class and meeting people from that community.

2. I believe in fairness above everything else and thus I was all for the hiatus as a way to show my stance without being punishing, but to be honest, what started as an objection and people dropping off was understandable, you don’t feel comfortable anymore and you decide to leave, all for that. your blog your way.

but here is where I draw the line

I don’t believe in death threats or things like that, it’s immature and frankly speaking indeed drama. and I know by doing this I’m causing more drama then needed, but I can’t allow for someone who I think has a point and only voiced their opinion after Gardinia mod has apologized repeatedly and said she’ll make the other mod apologize and already took actions, which honestly I would give it more than just 24 hours to react to this.

Look I understand both sides of the story:

1. The first reaction was uninformed as I mentioned before, and it was addressed by Mod Gardinia.

2. The thing was not drama until it began to get into name calling and saying that those of us who stayed are transphobic and fake. I will admit, I feel guilt tripped by those comments and it angers me.

So I am not stirring the pot, and I’m only being blunt cause Syndra mun has dealt with similar things in another group and I don’t like that because of an opinion she’s got to deal with this shit. I mean not to be harsh but I think it’s fair to say that what started out as just an objection has turned into a drama.

I hope this makes sense, please help in the education of the community rather than name calling. Thank you and have a wonderful day everyone.

I’m gonna start this off by saying I’m nb genderqueer, and I personally believe that in an issue regarding LGBTA+ and specifically in this scenario transphobic issues shouldn’t be talked about by anyone who’s cisgender. I don’t claim to speak for the entire community, but if you personally haven’t felt what it’s like to have your identity denied, ridiculed, misunderstood, mocked, or shamed by the majority of society and even your close relatives and friends, then I don’t think you can comprehend how much a “small incident” can really fucking hurt.

As small as an “opinion” may be, Syndra mun has honestly failed to comprehend the full scope of this problem in the mere action of calling it drama and “throwing a temper tantrum”. I’ve seen my friends experience dysphoria and have anxiety attacks because of the actions of frw mods, and I’ve felt invalidated and awful during the entire ordeal myself. And taking all of that and labeling it as drama is just... shitty. I don’t have a more eloquent way of putting it.

Now of course that doesn’t warrant death threats or harassment, but at the same time, please please please don’t make this about you. That you feel guilt-tripped or saying you’ll get a lot of hate for this, that’s a lot of passive aggression and also steering the discussion away from the serious problem (transphobia and the handling of transphobia) to focus on how it makes you feel. Which, frankly, is not what this is about. And by doing so you get a lot of people angry at you specifically because now you’ve brought yourself into a conversation you have no place in.

The bottom line is: if you’re not well-versed in this topic, if you don’t know how it feels to be on the receiving end of the original problem (transphobia) then you honestly don’t have the place to speak up especially when dismissing it all as “childish” and “immature”. As much as I, and maybe others, would love to educate people who have such opinions, if someone is capable of disregarding my feelings and invalidating my feelings as “drama” without seriously thinking about it that’s not going to make me want to talk to this person much less try and educate them when they may hurt me even more with their remarks as I try to do so.

And I’d like to note, educating people and being on the receiving end is uncomfortable. If it’s done right, it’s going to make you feel guilty and that’s not fun at all but whoever’s educating you isn’t there to make sure your feelings stay in tact while they explain their experiences (or however else they go about discussing). You’re being educated so you don’t have to feel that guilt, but it’s a process. And one last thing, I use “you” a lot in this post but I don’t really mean just you or Syndra mun, I mean in a broader general term.

#and to syndra mun specifically you say your problem is with the people's reactions #but im not sure you understand how this makes people feel and considered how serious transphobia is #because if you did i dont think youd be so quick to dismiss it as drama and throwing a temper tantrum #or even if you believed it to be an overreaction you wouldnt shoot down every single person like you did as being childish #because overall the most important thing is the origin of this problem which is again TRANSPHOBIA which takes priority over someones #opinion on the emotional responses from the people it affected

In light of the most recent post on the masterlist, I will be dropping both of my characters(this one and Merrill) from Fates Rewritten. As a trans individual, I am sickened by the cissexism and transphobia displayed in their opinions on the issue of gender. I may continue my blogs as indie, but that is yet to be decided. Hi guys! Here’s the 411. Ryuko’s having a party. The party is happening Saturday the 9th - however, you’re welcome to post starters any time between Friday - Sunday; just try not to write something about this a week later, because that might confuse some people! This seemed exactly like the perfect day for ice cream. Not like any day wasn’t perfect, really. Any day, any time of day, anything was fine. Ah, the wonders of dessert.

Kaito’s gaze shifted from the display of many flavors in front of him, to the person standing next to him, who currently looked like they were having a hard time making a decision. Well, he thought that’s what it looked like here, anyways. Being the ice cream connoisseur he was, he decided giving a suggestion to them wouldn’t hurt. So he aptly turned to the stranger, offering up a cheerful smile as he spoke.

“If you can’t decide, I always recommend the strawberry cheesecake flavor! Then again, any ice cream with strawberry in it is really good, and… ah!” He then stopped himself, uttering a nervous laugh while sheepishly rubbing the back of his neck. “I-I’m sorry, I wasn’t trying to rush you or anything! I just thought I’d offer a suggestion…”

Today would have been a lovely day for ice cream--that is, if he could actually decide on an ice cream. Mikazuki had strolled into this parlor thinking he’d have a few options to decide between, and therefore hadn’t given his order any thought prior, but upon reaching the counter what he’d been met with was... a monstrosity.

Here he’d thought he’d be deciding between chocolate or vanilla (in which it’d have varied only based on his mood).

The suggestion that comes from his right is honestly a welcomed surprise. Returning the blue haired stranger’s amicable gesture with a smile of his own, Mikazuki’s eyes seek out the flavor in question. Hm... ah! There it is!

“Strawberry cheesecake, was it? That sounds delicious, I’ll have that then!” Addressing the cashier first, he turns towards his ice cream savior next. “Thank you very much, there’s no need for apologies. You really helped me out; there are so many... diverse flavors here.”

It’s five on a Friday evening, which means most everyone’s gone for the weekend – save for the one lady struggling with the printer in the front office and the odd teacher, Miranda’s on her own.

Which is for the best, really, because as the school’s night janitor she’s cleaning up the students’ messes half of the time.

The other half of the time, she’s causing them.

The cart she’s pushing knocks into the corner of an cabinet open, and there’s a resounding crash as the thing wobbles and its contents spill to the ground. Miranda, as the epitome of regal gracefulness, ends up stepping on a stray pen and slams into her cart, sending them both toppling onto the floor.

It’s only five-fifteen.

It’s not often that one can actually hear the clack of his shoes against tiles when he walks the halls of a high school. Usually so loud and bustling with activity, it’s hard to hear oneself think during the day. But on a Friday evening after school hours, the corridors are akin to a ghost town.

Thus resounding crash that breaks through the invisible veil of quietude causes the history teacher to startle terribly. Flinching and immediately whipping his head around towards the source, it’d sounded a lot more like several crashes actually. What on earth had happened...?

Cautiously approaching a nearby classroom--isn’t this the biology lab?--Mikazuki peeks his face through the window on the door before immediately entering on his leisure.

“Oh, it’s you Miranda! Of course you’d still be here around this time.” Smiling paying no mind to the mess in front of her until he’s feet away, Mikazuki surveys the damage briefly.

“This is... quite the mess you have here.” Ah, the biology teacher won’t be pleased with this, for certain.

Mikazuki doesn’t often stay too late after school--he likes to think he’s quite timely in juggling his grading duties and lesson plans--but on the multiple occasions he does he always has some unique company awaiting him. Namely, their very own night janitor. Normally he probably wouldn’t have paid much mind to such a person, but... Miranda Lotto is someone you can’t exactly ignore if you have any shred of concern for others’ well-beings.

The crash of... something outside his door says as much.

Casting a worried glance outside, the history teacher rises from his desk chair and plucks an object from his bag on his way out. Stepping into the corridor, the sight that he beholds is just about what he’d expect. A smile easily gracing his features Mikazuki approaches the woman looking horrified at a knocked over trash can.

“Ah, Miranda, I thought it was you.” He bends down and helps the woman to her feet before righting the trash bin as well. “At least it’s only a trash bin this time!” A laugh follows his attempt at optimism, but it subsides easily enough as he moves on. Offering his hand, in it is an object he’d intended to give her later but... now can’t hurt.

“Here, I’m not sure if it’ll be much help but a present ought to cheer you up, right? I hope it’s to your liking.” The gift in question is a small, intricately designed pocket watch. It’s not much, but Miss Lotto can certainly afford the positivity of a spontaneous present.

By some odd turn of events, Mikazuki had chanced upon a hoard of... cats. Now, he knows he has an irregular sort of popularity with horses, but he’d never have expected felines to be similarly fond of him. At this rate maybe he should consider a career change from a teacher to a pet sitter, huh?
