In Need of a Shoulder

Neji laid alone under the massive tree in his front yard. The wind blew softly and the cicadas music rung through the air. Summer vacations usually ended up this way for the only child. He missed the days of having a playmate to relate to. Now, he was by all means, alone.

His long dark hair fanned out around his face all over the grass. His white clothes contrasted sharply even in the shade of the leaves. What would he do after high school? Neji always though of his future plans but he was never actually sure, he could be a teacher or a tutor or he could go I to politics, science, math or whatever else he could think of. He had too many strengths. Most people thought of it as a blessing but for Neji, it was the result of hours of pained labour and hard work.

And, like every other summer day, he wasn’t expecting company. He never did. Who would come visit him? His lack of friends? Maybe Tenten but he doubted it. They barely spoke outside of school. Neji wasn’t sad over the solitude, at least he could think. And think. Unfortunately, his mind was blank. Today was one of his rare free days and he couldn’t for the life of him figure out what to do with himself.

Just as here signed himself to sleep, Neji’s ears perked up at the sound of someone approaching.

He sighed very dramatically,loudly and obnoxiously as he approached the other boy. It had all happened by accident,stumbling by him.

"Why." pause. "Do you," another pause. "Look so alone? Or are alone. Damn," there was a silent chuckle. "That sucks,it really does. Well lucky for you I'm not busy or alone. I'm by myself,which is a huge difference. I think I have a job,but i'm not sure it's a solid one since I barely got a few words outta the worker there so it's back to square uno." one hand shoved in his pocket and another wielding his water bottle,there stood Suigetsu Hozuki. 

He took a stand under the shaded tree though. He was originally on his way to figure out where everything had been laid out in the town when he had been so distracted by this walk he happened to run into his new friend Neji. Maybe there was a small part of him that admitted he was disappointed that Karin started to really ignore him because he hadn't seen her in a while. Damn. 

After an unusual (for Suigetsu) amount of silence he capped his water bottle. There was so many possibilities for why Neji was acting like he was bummed out. He knew he didn't have much friends due to the part and idea of that many were intimidated by him but there was so many unanswered questions. "Okay." pause. "Who's the girl?" purple eyes dawned on the other."Because right now you're being too quiet and either a lady wrecked your chest organ or you're really deep into thought and refusing to live in the moment,have you ever taken a risk man?"

Tattoo:

He has a tattoo on the right side of his chest of this Kanji which means ‘soul’ that sits on top of the skull of a medium sized compass tattoowhich to him means he’s still searching for his soul. It could be looked at that he doesn’t know what he want for himself yet,yearning to achieve what he can’t see. The writing inside the script portion says ‘The lower overcoming the higher’  He has this tattoo on his left back of a tribal influenced hammerhead shark.(He’s obsessed with tattoo’s)

Fears:

Suigetsu is deathly afraid of snakes and will not go anywhere if he knows a snake is there,around etc. One time he thought to get a snake tattoo as if to make fun of the idea,but he backed out. He doesn't get how people can get them as pets. (Fear of Orochimaru)

One eyebrow lifts at the question, or.. was it a statement? He doesn’t need help, yet is asking a question? Wait, that.. huh? Also seemed a little foreign to the area. Maybe he wasn’t familiar with ci.. Hinata paused, listening as he continued to speak. 

This was, incredibly.. awkward. The only time customers attempted conversation with her, was to score a phone number. Or to distract her enough, so their friend could snag something. This guy was completely alone, seemed a little confused too? Outside of the lingering eye contact, the art student was sure he wasn’t interested. Relief, when those purple eyes finally shifted away. Studying the CD in his hand.

"Hm, the ukulele? Well, a lot have used it.." The volume of her voice soft, clearly giving his predicament some thought. "Eddie Vedder, Amanda Palmer even Paul McCartney have been known to play. All of which emit a different style of music, different sound.." Pursing her lips, was that a compliment? What exactly did he mean?? Hinata looks down at her attire; A mucky? gray shirt, with a hole in the right sleeve. Her school uniform skirt, sneakers. Didn’t have time to change after school, due to being held back. Glancing up, peering over the rows of cd’s from where she stood behind the counter. "I.. don’t even know if we have a Caribbean genre? I didn’t know there was such a thing..” Lightly musing the last half, trying to recall if she’s seen anything like it..

He lost her somewhere,now wasn't the time be revert to his old self and call her out on it. The new him,as he liked to dub it as should try to understand where he had lost her,but now he really didn't want to ask."Never mind,forget I asked yeah?" he smirked. He turned to observe any other parts of the shop he wasn't really aware of,but didn't find anything of interest; However,not until she had started talking again. "It's more island..but maybe not here." He looked at her."Yeah,I've heard most of their versions of how they,incorporate the instrument but that's new. I didn't know,not a lot of girls are into anything but uh." pause. "Pop? or somethin'." he shrugged.

"Lucky,because you work in a place like this. I would give anythin' you know? My last job was pretty shitty,my boss the epitome of. but i don't know what I was expecting. Why would the guy like a new guy,especially want to put up with a transferred guy like me? Great question,still trying to find out the answer." he was speaking,but walking away at the same time. He started to roam around a little more,sensing that she was expecting ths to be some type of joke. Suigetsu had stolen in the past but he wouldn't steal from this place. The place..there was something about it. It was like a hole in the wall.

"I'm Hozuki,Suigetsu by the way. Did i already introduce myself already? I'm sorry."

Neji saw the wheels turning in Suigetsu’s mind as he decided whether or not to come along. Neji’s aniticipation of the white-haired boy’s rejection was all he could feel. Somehow, Neji just knew. Maybe he was being pessimistic, maybe he was being realistic. But Neji had a gut feeling that Suigetsu would refuse, just as other students refused to acquaint themselves with Neji in general. He sparked fear in others, something unintentional but true. 

But at the sound of Suigetsu’s response, Neji’s heart lifted to the sky. Had he really just agreed to come along? Neji almost didnt’t know what to do, then he remembered what he’d proposed in the first place. To the council room! Neji led the way across the damp courtyard and into the main building. Just as he’d predicted the rain started up once more as soon as the both of them made it into the other building. Thank goodness, Neji had his umbrella in the office. Let loose, it had been something Ino told Neji too. Why did everyone tell him that? Neji couldn’t understand. He was perfectly open. He didn’t tell this to Suigetsu though, he’d rather not start an argument. Neji nodded instead and replied, “I suppose I am quite serious. But I intend to change that. I want to be more familiar with the students.”

Neji flushed as Suigetsu spoke on about the girls at Konoha. There was nothing for Neji to comment on as Suigetsu went on. Neji was interested in women, that much he knew. But he couldn’t bother to think about such trivial things. Not when he had work at the cram school and his AP classes. Not to mention all the work he did for student council. The list of responsibilities goes on. Neji had more important things to worry about than girls. They were complicated and nothing they said made any sense to him, happy sometimes sad others. Neji just couldn’t keep up. But he had to agree that Suigetsu couldn’t have moved to Konoha sooner. Neji was glad to at least have entertained the boy for their short time together. 

Neji nodded without realizing the Suigetsu might not have noticed. He cleared his throat and answered the boy. “Yes, I would be able to introduce you to everyone. However, I’m unsure of the ‘everyone’ you speak of. Are you referring to the students or teachers? Or student council in general?” Neji motioned to Suigetsu to turn left and the next hallway, they’d be at the council room in no time. 

Finally, they made it to the door of the of the council office and Neji’s hands started to shake. What if Suigetsu didn’t like the room? What would he do then. Neji knew this was a last ditch effort, he knew just how much he wanted Suigetsu to hold on. He opened the door and gestured for the other to make his way inside. Neji closed the door behind the two and took his place to give Suigetsu a proper tour. The office was large, probably the same size as the teacher’s office with separate rooms for the highest ranking executives. “This is my office,” Neji said while pointing to the closed room in the back corner. It was the biggest of the four executive offices. Desks, for other members were strewn about the room with stacks of paper on each one. 

"And," Neji said hesitantly, "If you so decide to join the council, that office could be yours." Neji pointed to the room next to his own. It was imperceptible from their distance away, but the door was labelled as was every other door in the school. Fine characters read out the position of the holder of the room; student council vice president.

As Suigetsu followed through with the idea that change was looking good for him,he listened. That's what was importat,wasn't it? "Well maybe after this we can actually go out and get you a girlfriend."he suggested with casualty,,though he had truly meant it. He didn't quite understand,though. Neji held so much power and yet he didn't have a girlfriend,it was like he was so engrossed in his work."Everyone,yeah like the main people around here. I sort of pissed a few people off already,this girl Karin,another girl named  Ino Yamanaka,which by the way is smoking hot. Though she looked like she was gonna knock my lights out because i was sort of hitting on her. Then theres,well there's just the rest of everyone who i don't know yet. That's where you come in,as Student President."he explained with a nod.

Reaching the student council area,Suigetsu observed the area as unknown territory. He wondered,just how often someone was just let in like this. Which led him to be suspicious."Why do you really want me to join this thing?"he asked mid sentence."There's a million other better and potential people rather than the new kid with temper issues and you choose me? I'm not buying this."he stated with an indifferent look across his face. He continued his walk through the area and looked into the small glass that served as a window.

"It's great." he commented on the office space. Maybe he could put all his bad issues into something positive,or actually do something with his school life? That would be great,wouldn't it? He turned to the darker haired boy on his heel and crossed his arms,observing him. He didn't look like he was one to lie and God forbid he did anything remotley bad. Maybe Neji needed him here more than Suigetsu thought."What would your followers think if you brought someone like me opposed to you on board?" He asked. 

Suddenly,he moved to sit down in one of the seats and turned to him."Consider your offer taken. It would be cool to be vice president, You seem to know what you're doing anyhow,right?"he saif with an edge in his words. Maybe this would go somewhere and maybe he would gain a friend,who knows. Tapping his chin with his finger he looked around the room."So how many people exactly are in here?Besides me?"he asked,with a smile this time.

Maybe Neji could be a more important friend than he initially imagined. Maybe they would be best friends,and he would stop moping around Mangetsu so much. He wasn't coming back. Standing up,Suigetsu extended his hand to the other and smiled."To new friends." he stated,waiting for the other to react. He still didn't know where the boundaries lied between them.

Suigetsu is obsessed with Tattoo's and has three. He has a compass rose with a skull in the middle.(on his right chest) Engraved on the skull is the kanji for 'soul' which can be interpreted as he's still searching for enlightenment,or his soul. There are words around it 'The lower overcoming the higher' which is his favorite quote. He also has a rather large tribal influenced Hammerhead shark that rests on his left side of his back. He's still looking into getting more.

How your character smells

Suigetsu smells like Salt water. He holds a very fresh smell without using lotions or colognes because he thinks it's overbearing if it's not done right. He has a sensitive nose,only using Jergens cherry lotion and cologne when he goes out.

Describe makeup & body modifications

Sui keeps his hair in a short,low ponytail because for him it's hotter than hell in Konoha. coming from a water based town it's a big environment change. School days,he wears his uniform accompanied by a dark blue hoodie that he wears almost every day. Except when it rains,because he loves water. He has purple eyes that everyone seems to notice first,and he has one tooth that shows. His hair is short enough to put in a low ponytail and can be mistaken as light blue,even though it's white. It's actually one of the great mysteries of the world.He has a variety of small scars on his back from fishing trips he went on with his brother,he doesn't care if they show.

Height & Weight

5’8 ft, 125 lbs

Suigetsu usually towers over people,though it is rare for him to ever look up to someone. He is of average weight,having a tall and lean built body it suits him well in his athletics that consist of swimming and baseball.

What they always have on their person.

He is always seen with his water bottle and a pack of jello. He likes and needs to keep himself hydrated or else he might pass out from the 'heat' of the town that he hasn't grown used to yet.

he carries around a dark teal bag that has an embroided black fish on the pocket,as well as the characters of his name. He is never seen without this bag,or the items inside which consist of his things needed for school. He is never unprepared,he just acts like to stump people. Aside from jello,he carried sushi with him in a container just in case he gets hungry and doesn't have time for a restaurant. His wallet,a medium sized brown wallet that has his student I.D,his actual I.D, cash,a credit card,and a worn out picture of him and his brother when they were younger.

in translation, Suigetsu is very protective/possesive of Karin if they ever did date. Because he’s very aware that she’s attractive on the inside and out and he doesn’t want to anyone teasing her,or messing with her because to him that means they’re interested in her and it’s his way of showing affection to her. So no one else is allowed to be like that towards her.

in the means of affection he wouldn’t really like it if she kissed him out of no where. He likes to provoke things like this,and really feels like she might be losing interest if she initiates things. He wants her to be interested in him to the point where she can’t think straight. 

He likes it when she gets mad,he takes pride knowing he can piss her off the fastest. Even when she calls him ’ fuckgetsu’ and he calls her witch.

Sex and PDA: All the things you need to know about the relationship sides of this pair

Well sexually speaking suigetsu would initiate it. It’s because he would most likely be sexually frustrated with her since he does remember when they had sex at the party but the thing is they mostly have angry sex. The day their sex life and activities becomes more than just anger and pent up aggression is the day suigetsu realizes that maybe he really likes her. And he would be a ticking time bomb because he doesn’t want to let anyone in,because they would most likely drown.

PDA. Yes. Suigetsu would show everyone that Karin was his girlfriend. Making out in public,or pulling her to him in the hall ways,he wants to make sure no one touches ‘his girl’ 

He would do his best and try to take care of her but in the end he refuses to take anyone down with him. In fears because the closest person he had died,presumed dead at least. Karin is like oil and he’s the water,they don’t mix in particular,but they can make great things. They fight like cats and dogs,and it’s his way of showing affection to her. 

Dates: He would introduce her to different foods like Jello and Yogurt ( because he’s convinced they don’t have it where she’s from) and different music and food. He would live for that night to wow her at anything he could possibly wow her with. He wants to impress her,and feels he had failed if she wasn’t awe strucken.

He would probably steal their first kiss in an empty hallway at school while she’s screaming at him,she would probably punch him.

Their first real kiss would be sudden. on a boat in the water at night. It would be a slap in the face for Suigetsu since it’s as close to a real feeling he would ever get to. 

They forgive eachother easily since they know they’re both joking. 

However if it’s something bad like dishonesty or cheating its not easily forgiven.

As the mun i feel like when Suigetsu feels like he’s in too deep he will cheat on her once,then tell her straight up. She would get mad,and he would walk away. After a while i think he would tell Sasuke and Neji (since they’re his close friends) and Neji would give him advice on what to do and urge him to fix it,meanwhile sasuke would probably shove him and tell him he’s an asshole before the advice. 

He would want to get back with her though,because she’s his girl,he’s her stupid boyfriend. They were meant to be,apparently.
