Aka I'm dropping Cress. I'm sorry of you made me an awesome starter ;o; I'll miss all you wonderful people. Please unfollow this!
@thesapphirefromjohto
Cress walked through Verdanturf town with Simipour by his side. He had come to Hoenn to participate in a contest. The closest thing to a contest that he had ever taken part in was a Pokemon Musical, and he was a bit tired of those. He had a break from work for most of the week, so he had enough time to try out one those contests.
They stopped in front of a large building. "This must be the contest hall, Simipour." Cress said as he looked up at the building. "Definitely larger than Musicals theaters, that's for sure." Simipour tugged at his trainer's shirt and pointers at some of the other Pokemon. "Hmm, you're right. I don't really see any Unovan Pokemon." He said as he examined the others. "Well then I guess we'll have to show them how graceful Unova can be!"
Cress and Simipour walked to the line at the reception counter. There was a girl with brown hair who looked rather confident standing in the line next to him. She looked like she had probably done quite a few of these contests and knew what she was doing. "Pour, pour!" Simipour whispered as he pointed at her. "That's not a bad idea." Cress responded. He lightly poked the girl's shoulder, which seemed to get her attention. "Hi, I'm Cress. We're from Unova, so we haven't ever done a contest before. Do you think maybe you could give us some tips or something?
“It’s just water! You’ll be fine!” He smiled and said, not seeming to care that his pants were wet as well. He had these specifically made to be waterproof so he could get in and out of the water effectively. “Besides I am wearing clothes. Pants at least. I don’t have to wear a shirt, I am a man after all.” He laughed, letting himself put his hands into the warm water.
He looked over, seeing Cress already walking away. Marlon quickly got out of the water and trailed after the boy. “You better keep to that then! You’ll be a great swimmer by the end of today! Promise!”
After Cress came back, he was immediately pushed head first into the water. He tumbled head first into the water, making a rather large splash. He looked around at the water Pokemon that lived in the vicinity for a few seconds before he came back to the surface to breathe. It wasn't that he was scared of water. Obviously that wasn't the case since he was with water type Pokemon 24/7. He had always depended on his Pokemon and never actually learned how to swim himself.
"So are you going to stand there like an idiot and waste my time, or are you going to attempt to teach me to swim?" Cress asked as he looked up at Marlon. "And also, you can't keep pushing me into the water. My bones are fragile."

Before he could even say anything he was shoved back into the spotless bathroom to change. This time he locked the door. Looking at the orange swirled swimsuit with disgust he put it in the laundry bin and got the one he really liked from the cabinet. It was Green and white making a stripped pattern. He took off his bottoms and slipped the trunks on. Then, He took off his vest and dress shirt and put on a green tank top. He neatly folded then and placed them in the cabinet. After making sure he was ready for the beach he opened the door and made a blitz to the front door of the house. While running he shouted to Cress “Last one there is a rotten Exeggcute!” But upon looking back at Cress he tripped on the carpet and fell right in front of the door. “OWWWW!!!” He yelled.
Cress chuckled and walked around his brother who had fallen on the floor. He slowly opened the door and took a step outside. "Well, Cilan, it looks like Pokemon battles aren't the only thing I can beat you at. Not to mention you always seem to have some sort of unfair advantage," He smiled and leaned against the door. "Now get off the floor, rotton Exeggcute. We have things to do. Time is money and money is time!"
Cress ran out the door with Cilan trailing behind him. He threw two pokeballs into the air and released his FLoatzel and Samurott. "Take your pick. We're going to go to that underwater temple thing that I saw on one of the signs in the Pokemon Center and we're going to need Pokemon that can take us underwater."

If you want to start a thread with me just tell me today or like whenever I get back from my hiatus. And also, someone got on my Tumblr the other day, so if you have a weird question from me, don't answer it.
Even with all of Cress’s bickering about how much he didn’t want to go in the waves, Marlon was going to get him to swim. After all, a water-type leader that couldn’t swim? Well, that was just not possible! He was going to push him out of his awkward loophole. Certainly.
“Well, good. It’s a better way for you to get motivated then!” He said, pushing him towards the water. “Stop being shy and just get in! It’s not that cold! Stop makin’ a fit! You want to impress those girls, right?!”
He frowned a bit, almost throwing the boy into the water. Dragging him until he finally got knee-length into the water. “Your going to learn how to swim, your not too old for anything!”
Cress grumbled as he was pushed into water. "H-hey! You made my pants and shoes get wet! That wasn't nice at all! These clothes are expensive!" He walked back out of the water. "You see, unlike you I actually wear clothes! I mean seriously, what is it with most of the water type gym leaders not wearing clothes!"
He shook out most of the water from his pants and shoes. "I'll let you attempt to teach me how to swim if you'll just stop bothering me, okay? I know you aren't going to stop trying to get me to learn to swim, but I'm telling you it will be a waste of both of our times. I'm going to go back and change so I don't ruin my clothing in the water. Also, I need to lock up the cafe since you just dragged me over here. You can come with me if you want."
Cress walked back down the route. "Arceus, what did I just get myself into?" He said to himself as he made his way back to Striaton.

“ALRIGHT!” Cilan screamed back before Cress could get to four. He then finished cleaning the mirror and put his fists on his hips, did a 180 degree turn and found the entire bathroom spotless. He then walked to the door and opened it “Were going to the beach right? Because if we are I better get my suit…” he scratched his head.
Cilan opened the door and almost knocked Cress over because he was still holding the door knob. "And to think I was about to have something to blackmail you with..." He sighed. "Of course we're going to the beach. That's what I've been yelling at you about. Oh yes, your suit." He threw it at his brother's face and pushed him back inside the bathroom. " Taken care of. Now hurry up! We have things to do! Of course, we won't be swimming or anything but there's plenty of other things to do."
@herbal-cilan
Cress and his brothers were spending their week in Undella Town, since no one usually came during this time of year. It was freezing in Striaton, so it was nice to take a break from the cold weather. Even though Undella was only popular during the summer, the area was always warm. Chili decided that he wasn't going to take part in any beach activities so he went to go explore the mountain instead.
"COME ON CILAN, WE'RE GOING OUT TO THE BEACH NOW!" Cress screamed through the door. "DON'T MAKE ME COME IN THERE. I KNOW THE DOOR IS UNLOCKED." He slumped against the door as his brother didn't bother to stop showering. "OH MY ARCEUS, CILAN. ARE YOU EVEN LISTENING TO ME?" He yelled louder. "Whatever. I'll be back in a few minutes. You better be done."
After Cress had gotten ready for the beach, he came back to see if Cilan had gotten out yet. He hadn't. "Okay, Cilan. I'm going to count to ten. If you aren't out by then, I'm going to go in there. GOT IT?" he put his hand on the door knob and started twisting it around to make sure it hadn't been locked. "ONE.....TWO.....THREE..."
“Illegal? Man, stop being a lazy guy and lets go have some real fun out in the waves!”
Marlon continued to drag Cress until they got the beach. And it was a more private section, so not many people would see the duo. Having Marlon out in a more populated are might have contracted a mob. He didn’t want that for Cress, because he knew he would have hated all of the screaming fangirls that wouldn’t be calling his name. Well, maybe. He just wanted to be safe.
The man looked over at Cress, grinning. “Well, you will go swimming! Let’s go!” He said, grabbing him by the legs and throwing him over his shoulder. “C’mon Cress! Your a water-type gym leader and you can’t even swim! That’s pretty embarrassing ’yo! I’ll teach you to be the fastest swimmer in all of Unova! Well.. it’ll be years before you can even think about beating me!” He said, laughing.
"BUT I DO NOT WANT TO HAVE FUN IN THE WAVES. THAT IS NOT FUN AT ALL." Cress screamed as he was dragged to the small beach near Nuvemba Town. Marlon was probably taking him to this beach because no one even came to it. It was as if the beach didn't exist to anyone but desperate fisherman and a few professional swimmers that needed a wide area for swimming. And that to, he chose the area of the beach that was almost hidden. Cress assumed he chose the area because he didn't want his fangirls chasing him around.
"I'll have you know that all of MY fans, not yours, live in this area of Unova. Past Sky Arrow Bridge is MY domain. MINE. I hate them, but their MY pain in the ass, not YOURS." Cress half crossed his arms, since Marlon hadn't led go of his wrist. He received an odd stare from Marlon before he was thrown over his shoulders. "Oh I see, so you've gone from cutting off the circulation in my arm to this. That's wonderful." The blunette responded. "Not being able to swim isn't embarrassing. Just because you're like the best swimmer in Unova or something like that, doesn't mean it's embarrassing that I can't swim."
Cress managed to get back on the ground and started to walk away. "Besides, even if I wanted to swim, I can't. I'm too old to learn now so it's pointless unless it was my goal in life. Also, I'm wearing my clothes and I'm not swimming in this. More specifically, my work clothes. You can't just waltz in, ask for food and then throw me in the water and expect me to swim and go on an adventure with you with you're fangirls cheering you on. That's not how life works. Now, if you excuse me, I, Cress am going back to Striaton."
Black Friday Shopping!
Cress spun around in the clothes he was trying on. He and Chili were at Shopping Mall 9 while Cilan was out adventuring or something. They really weren't sure. He had mentioned something about talking to Iris. They were mostly checking out the new clothing stores and food cafeteria that had been recently added.
"Isn't this shirt gorgeous! " Cress spun out of the dressing room stall and faced his brother. "I love it. We can get one for you and Cilan, too! It's on buy one get two free! This deal was practically made for us!" Chili was sitting on a bench with a pile of his and Cress' clothes from their shopping so far. He really didn't seem to mind his brother's shopping sprees as long as he got his fair share of donuts in the end.
"Come on, Chili. I want you to try on some clothes, too." The blunette said as he pushed his brother into the dressing room stall that he had just walked out of. He threw a bunch of clothing over the top of the door. "Try all of these on. Not only did I, Cress choose out the most fabulous clothing for you, but they are all on sale for unimaginably cheap prices!" Without even giving his brother time to take a breath, he added, "Try them on NOW! Time is money and money is time! These deals do not last forever, brother!"
Roxie rubbed her hands together nervously as she and her band piled into the van, still on the xtransceiver. “Don’t worry Cress,” She reassured, as the doors closed and the engines started, “I’ll be there in a jiffy… I hope.”
From the background came her band, laughing at the girl. She promptly told them off before saying farewell to Cress and hanging up. They had to high-tail it there or else Roxie would be in some SERIOUS trouble. Not to mention, she definitely didn’t want to disappoint her oh so dedicated fans.
The van arrived in Striaton in about 13 minutes, give or a take a couple. As Cress had said, fans were lined up, camping and so excited. She jumped out onto the ground and gave them an ecstatic wave, before hurrying past into the cafe.
“CRESS. I HAVE ARRIVED.”
Cress watched as Roxie burst through the back door, knocking down a few waiters in the process. "Careful! I'm in charge of their healthcare!" The fans had become louder and more obnoxious than they had been before, since their idol had finally arrived.
Roxie and her band set up their equipment on stage. "I'm assuming you guys have planned out what you are going to preform." Cress said as he sipped his tea which he seemed to have pulled out of thin air. "The fans are getting noisy..If you guys are actually ready I might consider letting them in a little early so they'll shut up. We aren't opening the cafe until almost an hour from now."
Cress placed his tea down on one of the tables close to the stage and walked onto the stage where Roxie was standing. "How do you put up with these people? They seem like they're worse than the fangirls...and fanboys...who come here everyday. And I can't possibly think of anyone worse than our fans..." One of the fan girls had actually tried to rip off Cilan's clothes, so the cafe had to be closed for the rest of the day because Cilan was to scared to do anything for the rest of the day.
Sightseeing || Cress/Clair
Clair smiled down at the boy. ”Yes, we certainly have a number of unique water-type Pokemon around here. I’m sure you’ve heard of Qwilfish, Lanturn, Remoraid or Mantine? I’m sure you’d enjoy them.” Clair beamed even wider and puffed herself up at the mention of Dragonair. ”Yes, they are quite phenominal, aren’t they? So majestic strong and vigilant!”
Cress’ admiration of her dragons automatically got him on her good side. Clair felt like strutting, showing off her dragons and showing the world how amazing they were. However, Clair was a more subdued woman, and thus showed her pride in other ways.
“I have closed it for the time being because I must prepare for the Challenge.” Clair was very tight lipped about the test she was about to take for numerous reasons. One being that it was a test only known to the dragon users of her clan (as well as those who tried to get into her clan), and two because she was scared. Clair was ashamed to say it, but she was scared. And thus she would refuse to utter a single word of it to anyone.
Clair’s ears perked up at ‘Dragon Spiral Tower’. She knew that her cousin had managed to capture some dragons from there - his Hydreigon sure is a handful - but she had never actually seen them. This tower seemed like the type of place she would have to take a vacation to visit. But the thought of there being little Dragonair concerned her. ”Has something happened at the tower? Dragonair do not leave their nests unless dire circumstances had occurred…” She thought this over for a minute, but Clair knew she couldn’t do anything.
She nodded. ”I know of where to find each of these Pokemon. I can tell you where to find Lanturn, Qwilfish, Remoraid and Mantine, however I have my doubts of you catching a magestic dragon such as Dragonair or Dratini.” Clair was very protective of her dragons, she didn’t want an unskilled or unworthy trainer owning one like it was a pet.
"Of course I've heard of them! Recently, we had a large outbreak of Remoraid in Undella. To be honest, I really don't care much for the fish-like pokemon like Remoraid and Quilfish. I have a Basculin that I used to use in battle, but I found that it wasn't very strong even after extensive training." Cress frowned as he remembered that even Chili was able to defeat Basculin with only fire type moves. "Lanturn and Mantine are quite excellent pokemon. I've battled both before, and I must say they did put up a good fight."
Cress didn't know what this 'challenge' was but he didn't bother to ask since it didn't look like Clair wanted to talk about it. "Yes, about Dragon Spiral Tower...as I said, the area around the tower used to be filled with Dragonair; a few Dratini and Dragonite here and there but mostly Dragonair. I'm pretty sure it was always like that, I mean, it is one of the oldest buildings in the Unova region. When I was a kid, my family used to take vacations to Icirrus city. I used to go over to the tower and play with all the Dragonair that lived in the vicinity, so they must have been living there for a long time. They only started disappearing one or two years ago."
"Dire circumstances...?" Cress repeated. "The only thing that really changed recently was when Plasma froze over some of Unova. That really wasn't that bad, though. I mean, Icirrus is the coldest place in the region. Most of the time, the city itself is covered in ice, so I'm sure they're used to cold weather." He thought for a moment trying to think of anything else strange that had happened within the past one or two years. "I can't think of anything else that's happened besides that. All I know is that now almost all of them are gone now."
Cress smiled at the thought of being able to catch a Lanturn or a Mantine. "That's wonderful!" He stopped smiling for a second when she mentioned that he might not be able to catch a Dragonair or Dratini. "I'm up for the challenge of catching a Dratini or Dragonair. They are highly powerful pokemon, and it probably takes a lot of skill to train strong pokemon like them. I, Cress will catch one." He crossed his arms. If he wasn't strong, he wouldn't still be a gym leader, even after quitting.
Roxie hummed to herself as she lay on her couch, quite relaxed, her father in the other room making her dinner. She very well may have nodded off, had her xtransceiver not started to ring. With a sigh, she answered it, faced with a familiar blue-haired ex-gym leader.
“Coming? Wait, was that..." She sat up and blinked,"Tonight?"
Shi- “I’ll call the guys and be on my way in ten, fifteen tops!”
Cress facepalmed as he watched Roxie scramble around on the other end of the line. "You forgot about your performance today, didn't you..." He looked down at his watch again. The cafe would be opening again in an hour. "If you can get here in ten to fifteen minutes that would be splendid. I am assuming you are on tour like you said you would be, because there is no way you can make it from Virbank to Striaton in fifteen minutes."
Cress walked around the kitchen and watched Roxie discuss her plans with her band. He wasn't sure whether or not she knew he was still on the line, because she seemed unaware of his presence on the other end. "I trust you to make it here on time..or at least somewhat on time, so you better not stop for smoothies like you did last time." His last remark seemed to startle the poison gym leader. "Not. Joking. There are people who are camping outside, just so they can be the first to see you. I will stick this on the window if you don't believe me."
Can't swim! Everyone can swim! Cress, you just gotta put your mind to it man!” He smiled, grabbing his arm and half pulling him out of his chair. If he really couldn’t know how to swim, Marlon was certainly going to teach him how to do it. This way, if anyone asked, he certainly wouldn’t be embarrassed!
And once Marlon was set on something, he sure as heck wasn’t going to stop. He learned to pick up this trait from Kyouhei, seeing how determined he was to chase and follow after his dreams.
“Stop makin excuses and lets go! Arceus isn’t going to wait all day y’know!~”
Cress sighed as Marlon grabbed onto his hand and ran out of the cafe with him. I should have seen this coming... He really had no way of escaping the tan gym leader's grip since he was about twenty times stronger than him. "I am pretty sure this is illegal.." he muttered to himself.
"I, Cress cannot, and will not ever swim...EVER." he said trying his best to verbally defend himself. "That is what my pokemon are for. They can swim, so I do not need to. Do you not remember what happened last time you tried to teach me how to swim? I am pretty sure I almost died. It should be illegal for pools to be more than five feet de- are you even listening to me?" Marlon really didn't seem to be paying attention to his ranting at all. Cress sighed. "If I get hurt, you're paying my medical bills."
@d-o-g-a-r-s-dogars
A waitress locked up the cafe and tossed the keys to Cress. The cafe would be closed for a few hours while it was being set up for Roxie's performance later that day. Ever since the triplets quit being gym leaders, they really had no use for the battleground at the back of their gym. The battleground was later turned into a stage, so they could invite performers to entertain the customers. It was only afterwards when they were told they could still be gym leaders without badges that the stage got tuned into a battleground and stage. The only problem with that was that it took a couple hours to get all the battle stuff off the stage, so the cafe had to be closed.
Two hours after closing, Cress looked down at his wristwatch. The stage was almost ready. He asked one of his employees if Roxie and her band were in Striaton yet, but she didn't seem to know. "Well at least it's a Tuesday and she can afford to be late, if she doesn't make it on time." He sighed and took out his xtransceiver to call her and ask what was going on. It was a good thing he actually knew the performed on a personal level this time. Sometimes Chili would find random people to preform that they could never get a hold of. The xtransceiver rang a few times until it was picked up. "So are you guys coming or not?"
