Nikolai Dzhumagaliev was a soviet serial killer who was apprehended in 1980 after murdering at least 9 people. He earned the moniker ‘metal fang’ and was known to cannibalise his victims who were mostly women. He was actually arrested in the midst of his murder spree that lasted just under 2 years. His arrest was for an entirely unrelated incident, where he accidentally shot a work colleague while heavily intoxicated. During this period of incarceration he was diagnosed with schizophrenia, but was released and went on to murder 3 more people. In relation to his first murder Dzhumagaliev said:

I always loved to hunt, often went hunting, but this was my first time hunting a woman. When I went out on the Uzun-agach-Maibulak track, I saw some young peasant woman. She was alone. I felt my heart pound within me and I ran after her. Hearing my footsteps, she turned around, but I caught up with her and put my arm around her neck, dragged her to the side of the landfill. She resisted, and then I cut her throat with a knife. Then I drank her blood. At this point, from the village appeared Bus Factory. I laid down on the ground and crouched next to the murder. While I was lying in my cold hands. When the bus drove, I warmed my hands on the woman’s body and stripped her naked. I cut the corpse’s breast into strips, removed the ovaries, separated the pelvis and hips; I then folded these pieces into a backpack and carried them home. I melted the fat to fry with, and some parts I pickled. Once I put the parts through a meat grinder and made dumplings. I saved the meat for myself; I never served it to anyone else. Twice I grilled the heart and the kidneys. Grilled meat, too. But it was tough, and cook it for a long time had its own fat. The meat of this woman took me a month to eat. The first time I ate human flesh through the power, and then used.

He was arrested again when he killed and dismembered a friend while he had multiple people visiting him in his home. His guests witnessed the crime and went fled in terror, contacting the police. Whenever the police arrived Dzhumagaliev  was on his knees, naked and covered in blood. The police were so stunned by this image and the bizarre nature of the crime that he managed to flee and was arrested the next day at a cousins house.

At his trial he was found not guilty by reason of insanity and sentenced to compulsory treatment in a psychiatric hospital.

Louise Bundy learned of her son arrest on October 2, 1975, by Ted’s friend phone call from Salt Lake City, « I am afraid I have some shocking news for you. Ted is charged with kidnapping, » said Dr. Michael Preece, « a girl identified him in a police lineup, and he is under arrest. »

A few hours after learning the news, the phone calls and questions began hitting her and her husband, Johnnie Bundy.

It was on that day that 17 year-old Carol DaRonch was asked to view a police lineup after being shown Bundy’s photo multiple time. The lineup consisted of six police officers and Ted. She identified the number 7, Ted Bundy. To this day, Ted’s lawyer on the case, John O’Connell still isn’t sure Bundy was guilty and thought DaRonch was heavily influenced by the police officers.

Dion Milam, the California man behind what has been dubbed the “scariest mugshot ever” faced court in 2007 on a murder charge for killing 45 year old Billy Led-erle, while attempting to steal money and methamphetamine from him. He had admitted to his prior convictions of assault and burglary during the case, and while being led out of the court room, blew kisses to his crying mother and family members who were in attendance. He was eventually found guilty after the jury deliberated for less than a day, and was later sentenced to life without the possibility for parole, plus 32 years and 4 months. In addition to the murder charge, Milam was also found guilty of attempted robbery and burglary, attempted brandishing of a firearm to resist arrest and being a felon in possession of a firearm. However, two other pending cases were dropped, which were for the conspiracy with a former prisoner to commit murder and intimidate witnesses and smuggling drugs while incarcerated. The latter case occurred while Milam was being held in the Stanislaus County Jail during the pending murder case, where his brother-in-law allegedly attempted to mail methamphetamine to him. 

This infamous mugshot of the, then 35 year old, depicts Milam with ‘Aryan Honor’ tattooed above his eyebrows and an eagle atop a swastika on his neck, which is the formal symbol of the Nazi party. He also shows a bruised face, black eyes and a broken nose. The mugshot was taken after he was brought in for the murder of the Empire man, during which its reported that Milam pulled a gun on sheriff deputies and was roughed up by police while he resisted arrest, which resulted in his injuries. His obvious white supremacist tattoos were never mentioned during the case due to no correlation between his beliefs and the murder, and there was neither any mention of police brutality.

14-year-old Grace Packer suffered unimaginable abuse throughout her short life. Born on 14 August 2001, her parents lost custody of her and her siblings as it was uncovered that the children has been sexually abused by other adults in their life. Their parents had attempted to fight for custody of them but failed and they were sent to an orphanage. When Grace was 3-years-old she was adopted by Sara Packer and her husband, David Packer. The couple lived in Pennsylvania and adopted Grace’s 1-year-old brother. The couple were said to have fostered 30 children throughout the years.

While this should have been a time for celebration, David soon began to molest young Grace. In 2010, David was eventually charged with molesting several children when graphic photographs of these attacks were uncovered on his phone. Again, this should have been a time for celebration but it wouldn’t be long until Sara got into a relationship with Jacob Sullivan, another sexual predator who soon began to rape Grace. While unimaginable pain and horror was going on behind closed doors, Grace continued to smile throughout it all. In fact, nobody suspected anything was amiss in her home life. A warm and caring young girl with learning disabilities, she was known to befriend children in school who had no friends.

In October of 2016, hunters discovered a dismembered head and torso in the woods. Dental records identified the small body as Grace Packer, who had been missing for four months. As it was later uncovered, Jacob had taken viagra and raped, beaten, and then strangled Grace to death while her adopted mother, Sara watched. The sadistic woman felt pleasure from watching the heinous attack. Jacob later confessed to police that he and Sara had planned on murdering Grace for the past year or so. They are currently awaiting trial.

Once Gary Ridgway, accompanied by his son, picked up a prostitute in his pickup truck and brought her to a deserted area. Gary and the prostitute went into the woods alone where he killed her. When Gary returned to his truck, his son inquired the whereabouts of the prostitute, to which he told him that she lived nearby and simply walked home. When Gary was asked if he would have killed his son if he had walked in on him during the murder, Gary responded, ‘’I don’t know.’’
