“Man, what a mess ya got into, huh?” Jabber said, smiling down at Zanka. It was like he was enjoying his misery. Misery wasn’t quite the right term, it was more so unfortunate circumstance. He happened to be snatched up by a band of idiots.

Zanka was unphased, he looked up at Jabber with a deadpanned look, “Whadd’ya want.”

or Zanka getting kidnapped by a group of strangers, which unexpectedly turns into Jabber wiggling his way into his heart

He slid the mask on his face, it was almost a perfect fit, how convenient. It was loose in some areas, but it’ll work, a mask is a mask. He won't complain about that especially if luck is on his side.

He stares down at the cleaner with his stolen newfound mask, he was breathing. He could hear how the cleaner’s lungs were struggling with every breath. If he continued like this, he would no doubt die. Or he would die from bleeding out, flip a coin.

Looking around, it didn’t seem like there were any cleaners in sight either. He looked back down at the cleaner, what was he doing out here like this anyway? It makes zero sense. Usually they come in three or more, and they would never leave their own behind.

What an odd situation.

got bursitis in my shoulder but its okay now hopefully 🙏🙏 have some janka

i do think zanka being suicidal is super important, not like actively attempting but putting himself in increasingly dangerous situations knowing there’s a genuine chance he might not make it out, but if he doesn’t then that’s on him for not being strong enough.

in my mind there’s more private moments where these negative feelings come to a head, and that’s when we get the refusing to eat, working himself so hard in training that he gets close to passing out.

then he meets jabber and loses twice.

the spiral he goes down is destructive to the extreme, he can’t sleep, can’t eat, only trains. but when you’re on one hour of sleep because you passed out and only water the training only makes things worse.

then he has the idea to seek jabber out, and try for a rematch.

i think deep deep down zanka knows there’s a pretty high chance he doesn’t survive, considering the last time they fought he would have been killed were it not for riyo.

when they come face to face, jabber takes one look at him, then turns and walks away. when zanka tries to follow, demanding to fight, jabber just brushes him off, telling him to come back when he doesn’t look like a ghost.

zanka finally starts eating again.
