oh god it's that time of the year again, so here are some quick reminders:

The content allowed on AO3 is legal according to American law. This is a sensible place to draw the line when your explicitly stated aim is to have a fanfiction site where the content is not subjected to random purges for obscure reasons

AO3 is run by a non-profit organisation. Nobody is making any money out of this, and when the donation drive goal is exceeded, excess money will go to running the site in the future and fighting potential legal battles for the right to create fanworks

It's possible to donate to AO3 and various charities etc, stop acting as though every cent donated to AO3 is a cent taken from "people who need it more"

"Fiction affects reality" yes but the fiction that actually has a societal impact is the latest heteronormative, subtly racist, mass marketed drivel from Disney, not that one properly tagged incest PWP fic with 150 hits and 40 kudos on AO3

after the huge amazing response I got from my ace!Jiang Cheng comic - all of the ace people saying how amazing it felt to be acknowledged, and all of the people who came to me saying that they hadn’t realised they were ace until they read the comic - I decided I wanted to make something for ace awareness week. it’s not quite as pretty or feelsy as the other comic, but there are so many people even within the LGBT+ community who just… genuinely do not understand asexuality, I figured even something basic would help :)

Here's a list nobody asked for on why I love yandere characters in otome games

They never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down

1. They're radical monogamists

It's not that they're just loyal. They're COMPLETELY OBSESSED with the idea of a lifetime commitment to one (1) person. It's their reason for breathing. Which leads me to the very scientific conclusion that if yandere boys existed, they'd probably be lesbians.

2. We've known each other for so long

And he probably fell for you when you were 5 years old. Don't worry, he was 4.

3. Puppies from hell

They just need a hug. Just give them a hug. Or else.

4. They're unapologetic

Yandere characters are often fiercely authentic, brave and independent minded.

They don't care if you, your brother, your dad and the Interpol all think they're creepy, which makes them way more confident than they think they are.

5. They're less likely to go to horny jail

Yanderes invented horny jail. You'll often find them protecting MC from the Playboy Flirt ™, and they can't see what's funny about double entendre jokes, mostly because their braincells are too invested in coming up with ways of keeping MC hostage.

What's that look for? Someone's gotta protect that dumb bitch from herself!
