BPD is much more complex than being unstable and being obsessive. I know the internet fails to cover the deep parts of disorders a lot of the time, but I’d like to talk about it here. BPD often doesn’t only influence your relationships. You may spend all day and night fearing and reflecting on the abandonment you’ve faced and may face again. You may get into trouble because of emotional outbursts. You may have a deep, never-ending feeling of numbness and disconnect from everything else. BPD is OFTEN caused by trauma. Many times, people with BPD will feel like betrayed children who can no longer trust a world that has deeply hurt them. Before assuming people BPD with are “evil,” “abusive,” or “overdramatic,” look into what they have often gone through and experience. I promise, it’s eye-opening.
