he shifted the weight from his left foot to his right, boots still slick with the rain water from the sidewalk out front. turning over his shoulder, he looked over the girl behind him with a slight smirk. she hadn’t realized who he was just yet, it seemed. a soft chuckle filled the space between him, his hands coming to hook in his pockets as he looked her over. “umbrellas don’t really help when the wind breaks ‘em.” cyrus chuckled. “don’t worry. a little water never hurt anyone,”
the glares that carrigan had garnered since walking in the shop quickly became and after thought when she realized who was standing in front of her. his voice hit her first, causing her head to whip to the side, meeting cyrus’ gaze with a grin. “points have been made.” carrigan agreed, letting out a chuckle. “no? because several people are looking at me like i just kicked their puppies.” she gestured towards the people around them - a few looking away quickly, but some continued to glare at the nurse. “think they’ll start melting soon?” she asked out of the side of her mouth, eyes narrowing at one of the offended patrons.
