Hey followers, I'm back for one night only! All the way back in 2018, I made the decision to move away from my boyfriend to a different country (still within the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland), and now I'm faced with no way to legally meet with him for months, or perhaps years, due to my adopted country banning transit across the border unless essential.

Is maintaining a 3½ year relationship essential? I don't know!

I don't consider it essential to see him during the current lockdown restrictions, but once lockdown is lifted, I would very much like to see my partner! However, this would still be illegal given the travel ban.

I'm calling for clarity over whether non-cohabiting couples may cross the England-Scotland border once neither nation is in lockdown. I feel it is only fair to those of us who have put our relationships on hold to be granted the same rights as couples who both live in either Scotland or England.
