Cast interview: Eguchi Takuya, in the role of Saga Latour.

Interviewer: This work has Visual Kei, music, vampires and different themes that will intrigue fans, so please tell us your thoughts when you first read the script, the overall story.
Eguchi: “This is going to be challenging”, I thought, because there are many parts of the songs that are only illustrated but not acted out. I was excited to see how we and the animators would create the flow. I felt the cool parts, the straight man parts, as well as the entertaining parts (laughs).
Interviewer: What is your own interpretation of the character named Saga Latour? Also, please tell us what you like the most in him and which point do you want to focus on.
Eguchi: This may not be the best thing to say about a vampire but, I thought he was full of humanity. He turns anger into energy. Personally, Iʼm a person who doesnʼt feel much anger in my daily life though (laughs).
If you look at it from a different perspective, not expecting anything from others, I think itʼs also accepting that this is your life. Yet Saga didnʼt. Itʼs a rebellion against the inability to do anything. Heʼs such a cool guy.
Interviewer: In episode 5, itʼs no exaggeration to say that Saga was the most conscious one. It was also an important episode, Guilʼs past was revealed, and he told the former members about his decision of leaving the Visual Prison. Looking back, is there any scene that left a personal impression on you, or a favorite scene of yours?
Eguchi: Sagaʼs work starts here, right? So it would be the upcoming episodes and the first episode. Since this is about how we are going to create Saga, I thought about how I could make an impression in a few words.
Interviewer: Please tell us about any memorable episodes at the recording site, or any impressive directions.
Eguchi: Since I often recorded with Nobunaga as my character, one of the things I enjoyed was discussing the interesting points in todayʼs script (laughs). We were talking about how we already wanted to see it here On Air.
Interviewer: This workʼs main theme involves music and Visual Kei, so how was it to sing the Visual Kei songs that Mr. Agematsu produced?
Eguchi: Since the songs were so powerful and challenging, they consumed energy. I was half joking when I said “I think Iʼm going to break my throat”, but I was also half serious (laughs). Thatʼs how hard I tried.
Interviewer: Many fascinating characters made an appearance, including the members of “O★Z” and “ECLIPSE”. Is there any character that you find yourself naturally attracted to?
This must be what being naturally attracted to someone means.
Interviewer: If the “Visual Prison” existed in real life, and you yourself had been given the mark, what kind of Visual Kei unit would you like to form as a leader?
Eguchi: I guess it would be a band of “laziness” that doesnʼt want to do anything. (...)
Interviewer: The story will be accelerating rapidly from now on, please tell us briefly the highlights of the episode 5 and onwards within the limits of spoilers.
Eguchi: As the role of Saga, Iʼm sure there will be more episodes of him in the future. Iʼm excited to see them.
Am I the only one who loves it how Sasuke always brings Sakura into the scene, OUT OF THE BLUE, and makes random comments/gestures when it's NEITHER EXPECTED NOR REQUIRED XD ?
