this chapter is going to adapt a portion of midnight sun in which edward follows an unnamed character who intends to do an undefined but terrible thing to a child, ending in the intention to kill her. the details of what he intends to do are not discussed explicitly in the source material, and will not be depicted in this adaptation beyond one imagined, non-graphic, image of the girl's hypothetical grave. this chapter will follow and depict some of the character's preparations, including stalking the girl by watching her house.
