A young man crying. The older man asks, "What kind of twisted man are you? You killed a woman?" The young man nods.
The young killer says it was an accident and asks for help. The older man looks shocked and runs off.
A family gathering - a tea party, someone mentions the murder but they don't want to talk about it. The tea party continues cheerily.
He wants to get to the party to see his long lost daughter but the police are searching his house. The policeman wants a cup of tea.
A middle-aged couple. She talks about her broken heart. She's angry and bitter, sobbing. He says he's sorry.
At the tea party house, a young couple talking on the stairs, he's upset.
A comic conversation in a sweet shop about knickers and chocolate. One of the women tells the other, she won't lie for her, but the next moment does.
The young killer tries to explain himself to the older man. He's crying. He insists it was an accident, she was his friend.
The middle-aged couple, clearly coming to the end of their relationship, talking, both crying. He says he still loves her.
The older man tells the young killer, he doesn't believe it was an accident.
The middle-aged couple, apparently reconciled, return to their house.
The tea party continues, they're still waiting for the young woman's father to turn up. She wants to know why one of the women didn't say nice things about her Dad.
The police are still searching his house but they haven't found anything. They leave. The man rushes to the tea party house but, too late, his daughter is leaving.
In a parked car, the older man talks to the father of the young killer, who is sat on the back seat. The father doesn't want his son to go to prison but the other man says he can't get away with murder. The two older men have both done bad things in their past. The young killer, upset, gets out of the car. He's in front of a police station. He looks desperately at the entrance, like he might turn himself in.
