❛ rituals ? ❜ brows crease , with confusion , though go lax once more when she realizes that it was SARCASM. ❛ yer not tryin` to clone me , are you ? y` could jus` ask me out , love. MUCH easier than `avin` to deal with that entire WHICH OF YOU IS TH` REAL ONE , bit. never ends well. plus `m a better kisser. clones never get th` LITTLE details right. ❜ digits drum `gainst the seat she’s taken solace in ; akin to a second HOME she sits in it so much. so many tests. so much worrying. you have one little WARP - DRIVE rupture &. suddenly you’re the base’s HOTTEST TOPIC.
hues dart to where doctor points , crown tilting at the sight of her own brainwave activity. was it supposed to look so …… bright ? ❛ sooooo …………. you’re sayin` , what ? ah` think faster than everyone else ? like ADHD or somethin` ? would explain why TEN BILLION thoughts pop in m` head all at once. like `ow ah` forgot t` shut th` bloody fridge back home. oh th` dog is gonna get in there today ……. ❜ the second question derails already ESTRANGED thinking pattern ; crown giving a slight shake as hands rose in mock surrender.
❛ me ? avoid tests ? a - ah` would NEVER. ❜ last word being drawn out for emphasis. ❛ `aven’t been depressed or th` like since ….. wow , since me an` ems split. other than that , ah` like t` think `m nothin` but WIDE EYES an` all grins ! an` that bit of radiant annoyance that everyone loves. ❜ she grins though its only to hide the hushed sigh under her breath. depressed she may not be , but that doesn’t stop that fleeting feeling of being nothing more than a LAB RAT. index rises ….. curling back towards palm before next thought could be made into words. ❛ th` last time someone told me ah` could hide with `em , we ended up datin` for a few years , love ————————– she was a medical student too …. my god , do ah` have a type ? ER …… ah` appreciate it ! but there’s no use hidin` from th` captain or th` commander. they jus` ….. KNOW when it comes t` me. ❜
Having a second Lena running around sounds a bit tiring, and if the clone wouldn’t kiss as well as the real one, what’s the point? Of course, she doesn’t actually know how to clone anyone, and she’s rather sure it would end up like a horror movie, where the clone turns into a zombie and eats her. She doesn’t want that. She is, however, a little intrigued by the idea of finding out what those little details Lena speaks of are. She shakes the thought of kissing Lena out of her mind -- what is wrong with her, imagining something like that? -- and presses on.
❝ Hopefully you weren’t keeping any chocolate in there, then, ❞ she remarks, amusement gracing her tone. She’s not sure if Lena is joking or if she really left the fridge open, but knowing the pilot, it’s believable she did. ❝ But yes, it is somewhat similar to ADHD. As a neurologist I would recommend medication to help you keep focus, but as a friend, I would recommend staying away from ADHD medication. You’ll feel slowed down, definitely, but that’s because it kind of... puts a fog in your mind. I think you’re fine as you are, so long as you feel alright. ❞
Emerald eyes widen a bit, eyebrows raised as lips curl upward. The way Lena’s mind works is truly fascinating, and Marisol can’t help but giggle as she watches the girl wonder aloud if she has a type. ❝ I mean, if it happens it happens, right? ❞ She shrugs, teasing, but there is some truth in her words. She’s always been rather easygoing on the romantic front, which is likely why she’s had so many girlfriends, and Lena is adorable. ❝ I suppose you have a point there. Hopefully it’s not because they have a tracking device implanted in your leg. Amari seems almost scary enough to do that. ❞
