Sometimes no matter how much sleep you get you will still be tired and sometimes no matter how tired you are you will never get any sleep.

Chronic Pain Really Fucking Hurts

It really really hurts. I can’t measure it on a 1 - 10 scale because each time is different to the last.

The pain just hits you out of no where and knocks you down for days, weeks, months or even years. 

Sometimes the pain meds work, sometimes they don’t and you just have to breath through the agony. 

I wouldn’t wish this on anyone, I’m scared to have children because I don’t want them to feel this pain. Sometimes I don’t even believe the pain I’m going through because it doesn’t make any sense

-really good at getting blood drawn -sleeping -tv marathoning -doing everything in pain -know the best heating pads -will sit on the floor if there are no chairs -smarter than doctors sometimes tbh

Never-ending Story

Swallowing pills just so I can function Whilst my immune system is in a state of malfunction The hospital staff that know my name This is just not my kind of fame Your gastroenterologist becomes part of your inner circle forever Aiding you in this arduous endeavor Your intestines’ greatest talent is knowing how to flare Although they also fund the prosperous business we know as health care The inflammation builds up and causes us to be extremely ill Making us realize we have dreams that we need to fulfill There are periods of remission here and there Reminding us we all have our triumphs to share We learn the value of time and who we choose to spend it with Explaining our situations and debunking every inflammatory bowel disease myth Living with inflammatory bowel disease  is like looking through a kaleidoscope We have to look more deeply to find the beauty in our own personal hell How I wish I could wave my wand to cure everyone with a magic spell!
