Bindle Punk Bruja was fine. A little heavy handed on being mixed/white passing at the beginning that thankfully did peter out. Narration style is a bit confusing. Waaaaaaaayyy tooo much going on in the last act.
But decent. Could've used a little more insight into bruja magic (and more magic in general) because it really mostly reads as 1920s historical fiction with a splash of magic and I thought there'd be an even mix
it’s fuck target still but what do you mean part of their pride birds this year is fucking sappho & some like it hot skfjdjkfghkksjs I can’t
The Neighborhood Watch The little character on those signs always scared me as a kid - I was worried if I wandered around at night that I might see him. Like he was some kind of entity lol. Had to draw him!
It's been 1 whole year since NYL's release! I painted this to celebrate
Burn the Sea is such a thrilling, and fun ride. Action packed and with a badass protagonist, it was also at times really hilarious to me
New character posters for I Love Boosters dir. Boots Riley, in theaters May 22, 2026!
hi hi hey ho hi hi hey hi hey ho
think in terms of Boots Riley films I've seen, I Love Boosters is more overall cohesive but Sorry to Bother You is more enjoyable (up until that third act twist when it just completely loses me).
Fun time, wild time at parts, though I felt like it was still a little soft & could've gone further on its action in critique. But lovely message to tie everything together. Costuming is absolutely gorgeous!!

dnf'd Silvercloak. It was kinda just really generic. I was already a little iffy on the [magic] cop going undercover in a gang story but I thought maybe it'd surprise me, but it just felt sooooo heterocentric -- despite the lead being bi
like only 115 pages in and there were already inconsistencies in the magic system (which was a little laughably cheesy-trying-to-be-intentionally-try-hard premise). and then to top it off, the enemy/lover was soooooooo stereotypical bad boy male love interest in physicality I audibly laughed.
Thought i'd enjoy A Queer Case by Robert Holtom a lot more than I did, but it ultimately ended up not being fun or intriguing as a murder mystery which is a shame because I do love historical gay mysteries
I love when a story just comes together in the third act and The Works of Vermin did that for me sooooooo well. I was like 200, maybe 300, pages in and not really getting how the two stories were connected (if at all) and then it finally does and I was like holy shit
It's really gross and kind of so grand in description that it made the gross hard to follow. And it kinda reminded me of Mr. Robot somehow? But had a great payoff for me
CYCLOPS Marvel Rivals - Season 8
Breath of the Dragon was a fun action oriented read but then once the tournament ends it kinda drags with the fallout. Curious to see it finish off tho!
