A mí me estaba naciendo una especie de felicidad que ascendía desde los zapatos, las piernas, me caminaba por el plexo y venía a proclamarse, maravillosamente, en el corazón y los pulmones.

Walt Disney & Salvador Dali: Destino
In the late ‘70s, a friend of mine was hired to direct the new Mickey Mouse Club show for Walt Disney (yes, really!). In his travels through the archive, he came across a stack of animation cells handpainted by Salvador Dali just sitting unprotected on a shelf in the vaults. The long-rumored collaboration between Dali and Disney had in fact happened, though the 1946 project was never completed. In 2003, producer Baker Bloodworth used existing materials to complete the piece. It’s a fascinating cartoon rich in amazing surreal Dali images.
