I've recently moved into my own place, and while I'm still getting some help from my father, I am also struggling to make ends meet. I've been getting some work lately, and it's been nice! But doing comms would really help me cover my basic needs + my meds + my dog's vet bills, he is a very very old boy and his treatments are expensive :')

More Marley! I miss him so bad, but I love celebrating his life. He was such an icon, such a silly little boy. The 17 years we had together were as close to a gift from the universe itself as it gets. He was a real sleepyhead, but as you can see he loved playtime and being nosy so much he would also fight sleep as much as he could, grumpy senior style

I love old dogs, old cats, I love rats, I love the rejects. I love rooms that no matter how much you clean, it will always smell of cigarrettes. I prefer to buy broken toys for a discount, poor things look like they've been through hell; missing parts, chipped paint, I love the story they can tell. I love trash, reduce, reuse, recycle, reset. I love to rig it, I love the feel, like a caveman building for need, inventing the wheel. My favorite books are the ones you buy 2nd hand, and I swear their pages smell like yellow. My favorite plants are cacti. I love letters, I love words, I love sentences and paragraphs, put to paper by pen or pencil, not really meant to last.

My dog Marley died at 17 years old on 15/04/2026. He was my best friend, sometimes he felt like my only friend in the whole world. He was with me since I was 12. I'm two months away from 30 now.

I'm still processing his death, there's so much to take in. He used to sleep next to my leg during my online korean lessons, and I would speak korean with him to practice. I kept a bunch of his fur when I groomed him at home, to turn into "wool". When he died, I cut off a braid of my own hair and tied it around his paw, so a little bit of me would go with him, since a little bit of him was staying with me. This is a woodcut I did in his memory.

Why is being an artist 30% skill and 70% networking and marketing? I hate it here it kills my passion for it tbh. Like I hate marketing and peddling so much. Imo if someone saw it and didn't like it thats ok why do people act like I should be shoving my work down the throats of anyone who looks at it and I just

I didn't spend years upon years obsessing over skill and technique and poetics for them to be like "yeah we dc about that, we want someone who can become a marketable brand" and like my bad! I thought I was becoming someone who makes art, not a money laundering proxy for insufferable rich people! Honest mistake /s
