so when a sister or mom or grandma gets killed by the demons in TPN and gets shipped out is there any confirmation on whether they'd be cheaper or more expensive than the children? bc i get that the brain is what the demons mainly eat but would their age be beneficial or not? in my mind it seems like 12 is the prime age and as they get older their "value" would decrease, like how lamb meat is far more valuable than mutton. which would then mean that the more time any of the women put into the system, the less valuable they become as food. so like all of that. lowkey for nothing. just to probably be priced below a 6 year old. The answer is technically no since we're never given explicit prices for any of the meat in the series, including probably the best opportunity for it to happen when the demon kids are buying some in chapter 102.

One of them notes they (which is safe to assume extends to the general demon population as a whole with the exception of those working at the premium farms) have never even seen meat from the four premium farms that cater exclusively to the nobility and royal family, so in that sense all sisters/moms/grandmas/teachers/caretakers/etc. are inherently more expensive than mass-produced children that are shipped out as soon as physically possible, long before they have the chance to become adults.

(Chapter 50: Sonju confirms there are several hundred mass production farms feeding the general populace while the four premium farms serve the rich and powerful | Chapter 102: This manufactured scarcity engenders strife amongst the populace who cannot afford the coveted meat)

We also see those demon children being given an assortment of limbs out of jars that appear to be separated by body parts, so while brains might be a preference, it's not necessary for demons to consume only brains to maintain their humanoid forms and intelligence.

There's also the scaling among the premium farms for the upper echelons:

So any cattle children of any age from Grace Field are viewed as being inherently superior to those of the three other premium farms in general, though for the poachers there's just as much excitement at being able to hunt Yuugo as there is at being able to hunt Emma and Ray who would normally be off limits for them.

Within just Grace Field's metrics, though, it's somewhat hard to say beyond full scorers being at the very top and reserved for the demon god to eat if they don't opt to become sisters/moms. We aren't told what is the minimum score to be recommended for the candidacy, but it has to be fairly high.

But given the rules Ray stresses about the house needing to maintain its veneer to ensure the children develop properly and meet Grace Field's high standards, some demons might have a preference for younger children over older children and adults, to play into the framing of childhood innocence tragically lost to a cruel, inhumane system and/or to uplift the target demographic of readers by further centering them and their agency on a meta level.
