helloooooo what kind of outfit do you think gyro and johnny would wear in a modern au??
HELLOOOO!!! i spent like the whole day working on this on an off. THX FOR THE FUN ASK!!!
i think most of the time he’d not care very much about clothing. i also think hes the type to have one billion different clashing shades of blue in his closet bc he keeps buying blue things without taking into account the rest of his wardrobe (this is absolutely projection btw). casually, he’d probably wear lots of knitwear, sweatpants, button-ups, anything easy to take on and off. also, crocs. but his shoe collection does have some lovely spotless designer gems, seeing as he can wear them out without them touching the ground if he wants. for something more formal, i think the fanciest he’d get would be really, really nice denim, and lots of girls would be like omg where did you get that vintage 70s. and he’d be like oh the thrift. and they’d be jealous that he depleted the womens section of rare good items. the era that he most likes to emulate is the 70s, gyro’s is the 80s or the 20s depending on the day. i also think that of the two, he’d be more likely to do elaborate eye makeup like 5 times a year than put a light face on every day, which i think gyro does.
um, i spent most of the time thinking abt tattoos. also my manager saw the first one bc i was doing it at work. also thats my shirt in the first one. also im lowkenuinely addicted to drawing his smile like that. ok he’d probably like wearing rings but cant often bc of his surgeon job. by the way, in this au, johnnys a total trophy husband. bc gyro’s loaded and pretty irreplaceable at work. which means he does get to show up to the workplace tatted up w a grill. i think its funny if hes this crazy intelligent peacock of a man with a sad cute chud to come home to, who keeps up hobbies like graphic design and documentary-esque film editing (they travel together a lot and he has a film diary). outside of work, he wears lots of band t shirts and shorts and stuff, and likes wearing sandals. he bikes a lot and has really stupid looking shorts for that. as far as formal wear, he likes soft flowey stuff, high waisted pants and that. he has exactly 7 piercings. to elaborate on some of my tattoo headcanons, which u can kind of zoom in to read, hes got lots of scientific and religious tattoos. i put lots of little references in them. his mom died and he got a mourning dove w a lily for her. i guess. the tennis ball is for his dad. he got his favorite math equation done (dont ask me what tf it is) because i just want to drive home that hes a nerd. i think it would be crazy if after they got married johnny was like bro.. your part of the family… match my birthmark bro… but my favorite one is the one of johnny’s eye right above his heart (which if we remember back to another lifetime is also right where johnnys final bullet hit him).
