Thinking about how much a graduation would mean to segment 18 specifically. The older segments already look well adjusted with the fatui and have probably already deluded themselves into thinking that they're above the Akademiya's standards. 18 is different because he's the foundation of Zandik's ego as a scholar, but the memory of being exiled is also too fresh for him. Idk man it just makes me sad that someone so bright and promising didn't even get to properly finish and isn't recognised in his hometown for it.
