Katherine quickly caught on to the fact he probably thought she was Elena. Cute. “Ah-- Boyd. Yeah-- sorry. I had a long day. How are you?”

Elena had spent that entire morning exploring her new surroundings. Doing everything she could to try and find any trace of Bonnie, Caroline or Damon. Being alive again was taking some getting used to but she couldn’t be more relieved to be back, even if it meant learning a new town. “Sorry, did you say something?” She asked turning her attention to the person behind her.

Heels clicked on the stone hard ground as Katherine walked to stand right in front of her doppelganger. Tilting her head to the side, she examined the other as she’d done many times before. “I asked what you were doing here? This is my favorite place and I don’t want you anywhere near it, sucking all the fun out of it.’ she replied, dryly.

Hope played about with the water.  Walking and feeling the fishes swim around her.

“Well, well, well. Look at what the cat dragged in.” Katherine muttered, loud enough so the other could hear her. She’d heard rumours about Klaus’s child, the tribrid: a cross between vampire, werewolf and witch. Needless to say, the idea had kept Katherine’s interest for a brief couple of seconds.

Letting out an audible sigh, Caroline had to suppress the urge to grab the cup from Katherine’s hand and throw the content in her face. “Yeah, to you, only.” she quirked her eyebrows. “Because I don’t think anyone’s jumping up and down in excitement with your return.” she said, pink lips curling up in a sarcastic smile. “I don’t recall saying I thought your life revolved around me, in fact, I couldn’t care less about you, Katherine.” Caroline said, rolling her eyes. “Are you done? Because I’d like to go back to my good mood and I just can’t do that if you’re around.”

“Lucky I don’t care much for how you lot feel about it, isn’t it?” she sassed, flipping her curls over one shoulder. “I’d get used to it, Care. I have a lot of plans of which many happen to include you. What do you say, are you in for a little game? Not that I care. Merely being polite. Sort of.”

Paige hugged her back and shrugged. “I’ve been better. This place doesn’t really scream out the best memories.” 

“So bury them deep.” Katherine suggested. “Either that or do something about them. The choice is entirely up to you, darling.”

Stefan couldn’t continue arguing with Katherine. He shook his head, a look of disappointment washed over his features. “When it comes to you, I don’t think I can be touched by anything you say.” He brought his hand up then let it fall before looking to her, “So, go on. Tell me.”

“I want you, Stefan. Haven’t you realized that yet?” she asked, her eyebrow arching. Surely, Katherine knew that Stefan only felt resentment towards her and, to a certain extent, so did she. After all, he’d killed her. But then again, she wanted what she wanted.
