College Survey: Your Perspective on Generative AI in the Arts
Hi there,
I hope this message finds you well! I’m currently working on a university project about generative AI and its impact on the art industry—a topic that hits close to home for me as an artist myself. Through this project, I aim to highlight the perspectives of artists, writers, and voice actors, which I feel are often overlooked in discussions about AI technologies.
To help with my research, I’ve put together a survey to gather thoughts, experiences, and concerns directly from creatives like you. The survey is completely voluntary, and I understand if you can’t or don’t wish to participate—but if you do, your input would mean so much to me! It’s also anonymous unless you choose to share your contact information at the end.
If you’re interested, here’s the link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSen8ZhT8JGJBHqv_OpvpgInf6AwDv3nMDdq5r_KLT7GgHx5QA/viewform?usp=sf_link
Even better, if you have other creative friends or mutuals who might be interested, I’d really appreciate it if you could share the survey with them too. The more diverse the responses, the better my research will reflect the voices of the creative community.
Thank you so much for considering this! Please let me know if you have any questions or thoughts about the project.
Take care,
Gin
survey taken! hope your project goes well!

the steven universe hate is insane bc people are (or at least were) more upset that fictional war criminals got fictional hugs than they recognize that it singlehandedly advanced queer rep in children's media by lightyears and then straight up ate heavy retaliation for the nerve.
It does have real flaws that are worth discussing, but it also put their male protagonist in dresses and skirts and played it straight and even empowering, they aired a lesbian wedding on television, it was a genuinely queer, genuinely diverse piece of media through and through. It did a lot of real good for the real world.
But also the fictional characters caused fictional harm to other fictional characters, and didn't get an onscreen firing squad sentence. So, you know, it's basically ontologically evil in real life.
it's unpopular to say i guess but i also think it's probably bad to make "punitive justice is the only form of justice worth enacting" the moral of a show for eight year olds

the thesis that ''there is only one kind of story that you are allowed to tell (the Battle of Good Heroes vs Evil Wretches)#and only one acceptable way to tell it (Evil Wretches are justly executed)''#is a pretty fascist approach to art on its own tbh#people want to be Fighting The Good Fight by way of correct and pure media consumption#but fail to realize that 1) media consumption is not activism no matter how pure you manage to get it#and 2) by framing ART as a battle of good vs evil in the first place#you're already letting the forces you want to oppose define the question#salty sunday

Artists are coming back to tumblr. Nature is healing.
You can do your part and plant trees (reblog art) to help nature heal.
Don’t support invasive species (art thieves/reposters) though. Only native plants (the original creators).
Lots of artists are reblogging this with their art blog! Go check them out!
Hi look an incredibly unpopular art blog!
