Second in command of the rust syndicate

-Philippe’s a buried avatar with a focus on man-made claustrophobia- the fear of a building collapse, a steel box you can’t escape etc

-Since we don’t get a lot(if any) examples of buried avatars i imagine he’s able to move through earth, stone or any building material like water and is able to drag people down with him. Very useful when dealing with enemies of the syndicate (which there are. Many.)

-Design wise I changed a lot more that with corbeaus- given his job is a bit more hands on i went for something more business casual, i imagine he still slips a tie on for meetings though

originally in your submas tma au you had emmet as part of the web, but the newer posts have him w the spiral? did you change your mind or are there just two different versions? interested in what your reasonings are for both tbh!! (tma is only a fandom-in-law but it seems really cool and so is your au. verrry cool)

Ive officially changed him to spiral mainly because I thought it fit his character better, especially given his job as a station manager in a subway lends itself really well to the themes of disorientation and that sense of not understanding the space you’re in

(and well, the idea of working so much your identity is tied to your job, with it maybe being a bit more literal)

He’s seemingly helpful, directing you on which platform to go to or which train leads where- and, if you’ve respected the rules of the station and minded your safety checks, you’ll arrive at your destination!

If you haven’t….well.

You wouldn’t be so lucky

Meanwhile with web emmet honestly the main reason was because spiders = joltiks, and the initial design i made looked cool. But the themes of manipulation and control didn’t fit how i saw his character as much as the spiral did

I really like how you draw Ingo and Emmet! They look so kind and huggable no matter how many horrors they have experienced.

I think tma Ingo needs a hug, I don’t know what’s going on and he might not know either

Out of Corbeau, Adder, & Emmet... who's bolting out the window during a scary moment in a horror movie or horror video game?

in my heart I feel as though it’s adder bc he can handle fist fights and brawls but the supernatural? that’s something you can’t punch sksks though he would also want to thug it out as to not abandon corbeau so I can see him closing his eyes and staying as still as possible <- scientific way to have no harm come to you

emmet would stare unblinkingly at the screen in pure fear so he can see what ever comes at him while corbeau would be tense the whole time and cut circulation in adder’s hand from gripping it too hard

what’s a little making out between friends (smooches under the cut)

- at this point emmet and corbeau are a thing (this thing has not been specified as to what it is by either one them)

- emmet and adder has hooked up once or twice (corbeau was in the room supervising); emmet knows of adder’s crush on corbeau

- adder has been calling emmet by his name but switches to calling him mr. gray around corbeau
