Ao3 Tag Usage Questionnaire

Dear Participant, Thank you for your interest in this survey, which will serve as the basis for an academic undergrad paper in the field of pragmatics at the University of Würzburg. Your assistance is greatly appreciated! The specific purpose of this linguistic study is to investigate usage of certain Ao3 tags, so please only take part if you in some form engage with fanfiction or original works (in English) on Ao3. You can still participate even if you only read fanfic, and do not write/publish on Ao3 yourself. Please answer all questions honestly and to your best ability. The following questionnaire will consist of one section inquiring after demographic data, one asking questions geared towards a reader perspective, and one towards an author perspective, with a final section where you can leave any final thoughts regarding the study. Filling the questionnaire out fully should not take much more than 5-15 minutes. (Note: questionnaire may not display properly on some mobile devices.) It is also fully anonymous - your response cannot be traced back to you, will be kept fully confidential, and any identifying information will be removed from the data. You will be asked to consent to usage of your response data for the above research purposes and under said conditions, please do so in the following. Ao3 Tag Usage Survey!

Hey everyone, I’m currently working on a linguistic mini-study for university, and have chosen usage of certain tags on Archive Of Our Own as my object of study!

For this purpose, I’ve set up a questionnaire, which only takes about 15 minutes at most to fill out - please do so, if you can, I would be immensely grateful!

(To take part, you only have to spend time on Ao3 in some way, so whether you read, write, or both, doesn’t matter at all.)
