Large knitted hanging, 14 pieces sewn together, white figures on royal blue ground. Border on all 4 sides (3 ½”) scrolling floral vine. Field consists of 5 bands (11 ½” high) of scenes alternating with narrow bands (3 ½” high) of vines. Bottom scene: two crowned facing mermaids with flower at right, and a fish. Scene above: boy and girl adorsed with basket of apples and cat between them, surrounded by leaves. Middle scene: boy and girl facing each other with lamb and bird between them. Flowers and fruit trees surround them. Next scene: girl asleep, boy holding apple, basket of apples between them, birds flowers, and apples surround them. Top scene: two smiling facing mermaids, fish and flowers.
