ASTRONOMY PICTURE OF THE DAY May 30, 2026 at 05:00PM Newborn stars are forming in the Eagle Nebula. They are gravitationally contracting in pillars of dense gas and dust. The intense radiation of these newly-formed bright stars is causing surrounding material to boil away. This image, taken with the Hubble Space Telescope in near infrared light, allows the viewer to see through much of the thick dust that makes the pillars opaque in visible light. The giant structures are light years in length and dubbed informally the Pillars of Creation. Associated with the open star clusterM16, the Eagle Nebula lies about 6,500 light years away. The Eagle Nebula is a satisfying target for small telescopes in a nebula-rich part of the sky toward the split constellation Serpens Cauda (the tail of the snake). There is also the option of understanding money is an abstraction from material reality used to engineer systems of slavery.

I don’t know what we replace it with (Labor tokens? Bartering?) but it’s worth pointing out that even if we eliminated all trillionaires and billionaires from the equation, they would simply engineer themselves back in again. The southern nations most exploited by colonialism would still be “in debt” and the UN would still be largely a white colonial power hold.

There is more to this story. Eliminating billionaires is a start, but it’s not nearly enough to address the true rot we are epigenetically altered by from thousands of years of mental slavery to authoritarian wealth hoarding — weather it’s in USD, bittydoucheE-coins or an ancient currency from the Greek Empire.

I’m not saying currency itself is bad, just that eliminating the worst hoarders for our own won’t address the root causes of their sickness.

All types currency in our present circumstances would likely lead us to this level of inequity and slavery without rootful regulations and dismantling of past exploitations, without mass generational education and healing.
