The year is 2026, Steven Universe has long since been finished. Rebecca Sugar has left Cartoon Network and has moved on to creating projects on other networks which are largely well loved and respected by adult and child audiences alike.

A commercial comes on CN. The internet loses their mind; Steven Universe is getting a reboot. Rebecca Sugar is tweeting about how it’s out of her hands. The internet is weeping. An announcement is made by the network. A bunch of cis white males are working on the new project, and they give an interview.

“We never really watched the original show but we’re excited as to the new ideas we’ve come up with.”

The screams of anguish can be heard from every corner of the world at this point. “no…NO…”

Episode one airs and Garnet takes off her visor to reveal a meme face. Amethyst can’t even. Pearl is seen twerking in the next scene.
