People who believe in souls but also want sci-fi technology are scared that teleportation wouldn’t move your soul with your material so they think when you step into a telepod for the first time you would just die and go to the afterlife while an empty copy of you keeps living and thinking it’s you.

Read a short story on some forum once where star trek teleports (1) kill you when they disintegrate your body and (2) create a new soul when they create a new body at the other end. Since everyone going through the transporter knew that it demateralises them, thus was enough to trigger the "no suicide" rule (which was written in the bronze age and so didn't account for this) and they all went to hell, where the collective mass of these souls ended up destroying the place.

A Walk Through Art History

I designed these shoes with a unique goal in mind: to create a shoe as a summation of an entire culture’s art. Each shoe possesses design qualities, color palettes, and designs only found in the respective culture. This project allowed me to investigate art historical cultures in a special way by challenging myself to translate an entire style (or series of styles) onto a single object.

Conveniently, I was able to use these designs as the concentration section of my AP Studio Art portfolio and received a score of a 5!
