Okay, itās been a few episodes already and Iām starting to get really bothered about the pedo undertones in Mamoruās and Chibiusaās interactions. Let me explain what I mean.
We all know the famous scene where Chibiusa appears for the first time and locks lips with Mamoru by accident. In the Classic anime, the scene is comical, and everyone seems freaked out:

Why the hell is there a close-up of their lipsĀ intertwined? Iām not even going into details about whatās the difference between accidentally meeting lips and literally kissing, because Iām already looking at the next frame. Why is he blushing like that? These two shots look exactly like taken from a romantic scene in a shoujo manga. Yep. Thereās nothing remotely comic about this, they are dead serious. Next.
Mamoru boldly approaches the little girl who heās never seen before that very day - with whom he only interacted for no more than a few minutes. He immediately asks her where she lives and tells her that he aloneĀ will walk her home, although Usagi is still standing behind them. Chibiusa seems anxious, and then we get a strange voyeuristic shot of them the sort of which is rather used for showing sexual advances than friendly gestures between a well-intentioned, nice fatherly figure and a reassured little child.
And why on earth is this the first and only thing he asks? I mean, what would a normal person do when finding a child alone at dusk in an empty playground? Ask her if she knows where her parents are, or call the police. You definitely donāt take her in your arms and bring her into someoneās home whoās a stranger to her, even if itās your girlfriend.
(Maybe a vision. Or maybe the kind of urges Iād rather not tell anyone.)
And you especially donāt take her into your own home, undress her while sheās asleep, and put her into your bed.
Not even asking her, and assuming she doesnāt wanna go home is almost irrelevant at this point. Look at the last 2 shots. Thatās not a child who just woke up from a nightmare, thatās a child who is in a nightmare. She wakes up noticing Mamoru holding her hand, tears start to form in her eyes, and then sheās sobbing into the pillow, as if she couldnāt face Mamoru, or couldnāt cope with whatever it is that has happened to her.
What we have next is Mamoru climbing into the bed to her and yet another voyeuristic shot with a reluctant Chibiusa covering herself. Again, this is not what happens, but this is how it looks.
"Stay away from me!ā - yells she when the faceless guy approaches her. She does not even hint to the earring that supposedly scares her so much. If it wasnāt for the context we wouldnāt know that that thing in his hand has any significance whatsoever (she wouldnāt even be able to see it properly, in the last shot itās behind Mamoruās hand). Yeah, this absolutely does not look like the typical scene of the molester family friend suddenly appearing, cheerfully and acting like nothing had happened.
Back to accidentally improper shots: arenāt there a bit too many of them...?
Nope. Letās make our point even more clear by adding an upskirt shot of the child, making her look like she was being kissed by Tuxedo Mask... and a blowjob.
We still donāt know where she lives, where her parents are, whether the police is already searching for the missing girl, but sheās spending yet another night at Mamoruās. In his half unbuttoned shirt, blushing. Come to bed, baby.
At this point I really thought he was going to kiss her. Chibiusa blushing, Mamoru leaning closer, what the duck.
FINALLY! Someone notices it!
Even if itās a weird kind of jealousy.
Well, no wonder. Chibiusa doesnāt seem to have any clothes underneath that shirt anymore, while next time we see Usagi, sheās still in yesterdayās clothes.
