I’ve put in over 200 hours into KCD1, out of which 150 were spent taking screenshots.I had to download a separate mod and dig through about a thousand lines of code just to find the right combination to remove Hans’s collision. Then I had to fix up Henry so he’d look fucking amazing in the frame. The clothing options in the game are pretty shit, so that also took time - I had to come up with a proper look for him.
I stayed up at night thinking of angles, scenes, and hunting for the perfect moments to capture the sexual tension between those two. Of course, it would’ve been easier to just draw whatever was in your head. But when it actually happens between the characters in the game itself - it’s completely different. The emotions you feel are different.
So a lot has gone into these screenshots. Brainpower, effort, and time - especially time.
These screenshots are the foundation for the AI. And even then, only sometimes. It needs the most expressive shots with the clearest compositions. Otherwise it just produces garbage. That creates its own difficulties too. When I’m in the game and completely caught up in the chemistry between Hansry, I’m not thinking about any of that at all. These screenshots were made for me, for my soul - not for the AI.
By the way, I also draw. I’m learning and trying really hard.
Just block me if all of this is unbearable for you.
