“Satoru, please let me go.” you pleaded for the tenth time today. Suguru watches from across the hallway, letting out a sigh as he sees Satoru’s arm wrapped around your waist, his head resting on your shoulder.
“No.” Satoru mumbles, voice muffled as he hides his face in the crook of your neck. “Wanna be like this forever. You don’t need to be anywhere. Just stay here with me.”
“I have work today, Satoru. My boss is going to kill me if I come in late.” you tried prying his hands off of your waist but when your hands tried to make contact with his wrist, it stopped just above it. “Seriously?”
You can feel Satoru smile against your shoulder. “What? I didn’t do anything.” He lifts his head and gives you a cheeky smile. “So, are you going to stay home?”
“What? No. I can’t just take a day off from work just because you want me to.” you say. “Now please let me go. Your students need you too. And Geto.” you pointed at Suguru, but Satoru still doesn’t budge. “Satoru.”
He whines childishly, tightening his grip. “Please. Just take a day off once. I’ll explain everything to your boss when he asks, promise! Besides, the students love it when you join me.”
You give Suguru a ‘help me please’ look but he only shrugs, giving you a thumbs up while mouthing the words ‘Good luck, Y/N.’ and leaves. You mentally curse Suguru in your mind, promising yourself that you’ll give him a punch when class is over.
Letting out a defeated sigh, you caved in. “Okay, fine. I’ll skip work for today,” Satoru immediately raises his head, a big smile on his face. “Only for today. I can’t afford to keep skipping work just because you asked me to.”
Satoru’s smile changed from a happy smile to a smug smile. “You know you’re lying. You skipped work for me plenty of time already. Remember the time I asked you to come here because I was feeling sick?”
Your eyes narrowed, remembering all too well how Satoru tricked you into skipping work because “he wasn’t feeling well”. He was lying, of course. As soon as you arrive at the classroom, medicine in your bag, you find Satoru lying on top of the desks, his students circling him — Yuuji said Satoru didn’t feel like teaching today because you weren’t there with him (you gave, or at least tried to, him a good punch on the shoulder).
“I was tricked into skipping work that time.“ you frowned, giving Satoru a smack on the head. “You said you were sick when in fact you weren’t.”
“Not having my daily dose of Y/N makes me feel unwell, you know that.” Satoru dramatically says, a cheeky smile appearing on his face. You glared at him. “Don’t give me that glare. You know very well how much you mean to me.”
The smile Satoru gives you is enough to make your knees weaken. “Okay, fine. I’m staying here so will you please let me go?”
“No, you’re actually pretty comfortable to hold so I’ll stay like this, thanks.” Satoru giggles, making you groan.
Maybe Satoru really dislikes having to let you go sometimes.

oh boy🌚 This gone ruffle some feathers but I only really have 3 major ones I can think of.
One: I can’t stand when fics/drabbles are labeled “x reader” but the writer goes out of their way to describe reader to be white and skinny, excluding whole demographics of readers. Even in chubby reader fics, reader is still described to have pale skin! It’s so annoying. “Her skin turned a beet red as she blushed madly” … It’s literally just an oc atp. It’s 2023 and people still doing ts; leave it where it was at, 2014.
Two *gulps*: the niggafication of non-black characters
I said this before about a certain character but I personally don’t like when characters are riddled with stereotypes that we already get mocked for and are told is ghetto, unprofessional, wrong, etc. why is this man stealing my bonnets and taking me to his “crib” like pls stop playing on my phone. The overuse of aave, the personas they give off, the way they act, it’s literally giving minstrel shows
Three: when people mischaracterize certain characters to the gods that it becomes the general consensus for that character. For example, gojo + being a selfish manwhore who’s toxic. like ?? did we watch the same show? read the same manga? Another example, Eren. I’m sorry but I cannot for the life of me understand why he’s always written to be toxic/borderline toxic as if he isn’t a literal loser who would do anything for the people he loves.
bonus hot take: the idea of struggle love needs to perish🌚 sorry but the cheating fics aren’t cute and neither is toxicity. then the only way they apologize is by hunching… like okay where the apology letter drenched in tears? the groveling?

Pre season 4 Eren, I think he was better at expressing his emotions.
He was very much a “wear your heart on your sleeve” type of person so you never had to guess how he was feeling
But now he is more closed off. It’s not you, don’t worry, he just has a lot on his mind and a lot of heaviness in his heart due to everything that has happened with him
You try to be there for him as best as you can and help him when you feel he needs it the most
Although he won’t say it, he appreciates you so much for everything you do for him

I don’t see him giving gifts often tbh
I see him as more of an acts of service type of lover

It’s been a while since you’ve gotten proper rest. Not since…that day.
The day your entire world was turned upside down.
Every night you cried yourself to sleep, only to be awakened by nightmares of the events of the Paramount war. Reliving his death over and over again, as if your mind was trying to torture you.
It got so bad, that you dreaded sleep altogether. The skin under your eyes darkened from fatigue and your sullen features made you unrecognizable by your crew. You always had the kindest smile and was filled with so much laughter but now your eyes looked empty and you barely spoke anymore. Marco was beginning to worry for your health. The death of pops and Ace still hurt him, but he could tell you were dealing with it the worst. After all, Ace was more than just a crew mate to you.
He was your lover
One night, Marco insisted you get some rest. Before you could protest, Marco already cut you off, declaring it’s the “doctor’s order”. You reluctantly secluded in your personal quarters to turn in for the night. As soon as your head hit the pillow, you had managed to drift to sleep pretty quickly, exhaustion finally taking over. As your eyes fluttered shut, you prepared yourself for yet another dream of pirates and marines fighting and your boyfriend having a hole punched through him. However, you were met with a warm smile and gentle brown eyes.
“Ace?”
You could faintly make out his adorable boyish grin and the freckles that decorated his nose and cheek.
“Hey sleeping beauty,” he winked.
Your eyes widened and before you knew it, you practically tackled him in a tight embrace.
“Whoa…haha…looks like someone’s excited to see me”, he chuckled, placing a kiss atop your head.
The warmth emulating from his body and his familiar scent overwhelmed your senses.
You raise your head from his neck, still in awe that it was actually him. You graze your hand against his freckled cheek before bringing your lips to his.
You missed the feeling of his toned arms holding you against him, the way his soft lips felt against yours, the way he hummed against your lips.
You couldn’t help the tears that flowed down your cheek as you had longed for his kisses for so long. When he broke the kiss, he noticed your tear stained face and concern laced his handsome features
“Y/N, hey hey,” he cooed, rubbing his thumb against your cheek as you continued to sob. You couldn’t help it. You missed him so fucking much and being able to kiss and hold him again was just too much.
“C’mon Y/N, we talked about this,” Ace sighed, thumb still swiping the tears off your cheek.
Your weeping pauses at his words, looking at him with a puzzled expression.
“I have to bring Teach to justice for what he did, you know this”, Ace continues, not catching your confused features.
Suddenly a sense of deja vu hits you at his words. You two have had this conversation already. This was the last conversation you had with Ace before he left to hunt down Blackbeard.
You remembered how upset you were about Ace going after Teach. You had a gut feeling about the whole thing and when Ace refused to listen, you remembered how angry you were with him. Looking back now, you hated that your gut feeling was right, but hated more that you couldn’t do more to stop him.
“Ace, please,” you croaked, your eyes holding so much sadness, “don’t go”
If you could just convince him, everything will be okay again.
You wouldn’t feel empty anymore.
“If I don’t do this, I could not live with myself as a commander. I know it’s hard but I really need you to believe in me”, Ace says as he holds your hands in his.
Realization dawned on you, as you gazed at the man before you. You knew him too well to know that once his mind is set, there’s no talking him out of it. You couldn’t change the outcome, no matter how much you wanted to. After all, this was just a dream.
“I do believe in you, Ace,” you squeeze his hands, your thumb rubbing circles against the back of his palm.
There’s so much you want to say to him. So many things you wished you could have said before it was too late. But for some reason, the words weren’t coming out, you just stared at him with glossy eyes as he smiles at you.
“I will be back before you know it, I could never leave my girl all alone for too long” he smirks.
‘But he did’
“Can you just lay with me, Ace”
Ace smile grows bigger and he lays you both down. Your back is against his chest as he holds you from behind. He litters soft kisses to the side of your neck and cheek.
“I love you so much Ace”
His lips pause against your neck, and he tilts his head to look you in your eyes.
“I love you too Y/N”
Your eyes well up again and you try your hardest to swallow the lump in your throat.
“Please never forget that. You are loved and you deserve the world. It is so unfair what life has thrown at you. I wish things were different but just remember how loved you are” you whisper to him.
Now his eyes started to well up and all he could do was capture your lips in a passionate kiss.
