“Well, I’m not a nice person.” he laughed. “And let me say that you’re the only thing I’ve seen worth of photographing today.”
“not a nice person, huh? that’s the nicest thing anyone’s said to me in a while. thank you.”

hinoahfinn:
“Well, I’m not a nice person.” he laughed. “And let me say that you’re the only thing I’ve seen worth of photographing today.”
“not a nice person, huh? that’s the nicest thing anyone’s said to me in a while. thank you.”
Noah raised his eyebrow at the girl, a smile playing at his lips. “Why do I feel like you’re flirting with me?” he laughed, teasing her.
“me? flirting? no way,” max told him, snorting a laugh. “nope, i’m just a nice person. promise.”
brckenjaw:
“ listen, lady— i’m not up for an impromptu photo shoot. i was close to taking a long fucking nap, before you, miss. annie leibovitz over here, popped in with your camera equipment. ” he gave her an unconvinced stare, unphased by her distress, but reasonably intrigued by her blind hope. the anxiety in her voice was a dead give away of her desperation. sacha decided to take a stab at using it as an excuse to not waste the extra cash in his pocket. “ …the only way in hell, that you’d ever get me to pose for a shot, is if you offered me something in return, let’s say…a pack of cigarettes. i’d want a pack of nice ones after this— camels, not marlboros. ”
max felt herself physically relax, finally letting go of a tight breath she didn’t know she’d been holding. his attitude certainly wasn’t doing her any favors, but all she really needed was for him to go three seconds without talking, long enough for her to take a picture. “thank you,” max told him politely, a small smile pulling at the corners of her lips. she nodded at his request (or rather, demand) as if she had any idea of the difference between camels and malboros. “camels it is. now, can you sit, please? the light is perfect right now.”
hinoahfinn:
Noah let out a chuckle. “I don’t know if I should take that as a compliment -I mean, look around, the world is filled with beautiful people such as yourself- or as an offense - you did call me thing…” He joked
max couldn’t help but let out a laugh. “definitely a compliment. i mean, look around. we’re surrounded by architecture and nature and art, all beautiful, but i still picked you.”
wthariel:
“Do you want me to pose or just do what I was doing?” Ariel asked with a grin, watching the girl work with the camera in her hands. “You’re very welcome, anything to help out.”
“just what you're doing is perfect,” max explained with a soft smile. “seriously, you’re the best. this is perfect.”
okliamb:
“Ah, well that’s cool. It looks good, you’ve got some real talent right there. I don’t think I got your name?”
“thank you. i really appreciate that. oh — and i’m max. and you are?”
hinoahfinn:
“Tell me, though, why did you want a picture of me?” He cocked his head to the side. “I mean, is it for an assignment or…?”
max shrugged her shoulders gently. the picture would be perfect for any number of photo assignments, but that wasn’t really why she took it. “you just looked nice,” she told him with a small smile. “the only thing i’ve seen all day worth taking a picture of, if i’m honest.”
wthariel:
Ariel’s mind was anywhere but present in that moment, thinking about a new routine she had to fix or lines she had to memorize, to the point where she didn’t notice a person coming up to her right away. “Oh, sure, of course.”
max flashed the girl a quick smile as she raised her camera to eye level. she took a moment to adjust the lens and pressed the button. “thank you,” she mumbled to the girl. “i really appreciate it.”
okliamb:
“You’re a photography major? That’s pretty cool. And oh, alright. How does it look? I’m really not the best model.”
“it looks perfect,” max assured him with a smile and a sigh of relief. she turned the camera round so liam could look. “see? you kinda look like an angel.”
brckenjaw:
sacha was heading back to his room. he was half-tipsy, and on the verge on collapsing. it had a hard, hard day. though, for sacha, a rough afternoon usually entailed spending time anywhere that was too far away from his bed. he was about to turn the corner, when he heard a noise to his left. he had barely caught the sound, as the girl questioned him in a near whisper. “ a picture ? trust me, you don’t wanna snap a shot of an old vampire like myself. we don’t show up on film. ” his voice was heavy with sarcasm. “so, no, you can’t fucking take my picture. ”
max’s heart fell. she’d known it was stupid to ask a stranger if she could take his picture, and she herself would probably react the same way if someone had asked her, though maybe with less venom in her tone. “i — normally i wouldn’t ask but i have a huge assignment due soon, and none of the pictures i’ve taken today are working out, and —” max cut herself off, cheeks flushing red as she became acutely aware of the fact that she was rambling. “please ?” she implored again, eyes big as she put in a last-ditch effort to get what she needed.
hinoahfinn:
“You too.” He smiled. “It’s good to finally run into another photography major, there aren’t many of us around.”
max nodded in agreement. “it is. it seems like everyone’s an acting or a singing major. not that there’s anything wrong with that, of course, just not my thing.”
hinoahfinn:
“I try not to use the flash too much, so you may not even notice it.” He grinned. “I’m Noah, by the way. Your fellow Photography major if I’m not mistaken?”
“yeah, i know. i mean — i’ve seen some of your pictures and i’ve seen you around,” max stumbled over her words. “oh, and i’m max. nice to meet you.”
hinoahfinn:
Noah didn’t even have time to prepare for the photo before she’d snapped it. He took the camera up to his eye and pulled his bottom lip between his teeth in concentration. “You know what?” He lowered the camera. “I’d rather do it when you’re not aware that I am.”
max nodded in understanding — it was always better to snap a photo of someone who wasn’t looking for it. “so if i see a flash out of the corner of my eye someday, i’ll know who to expect.”
“hi, you what? a picture of me? why? let me apologize, i’m just in shock that’s all. i’m no model but you can go for it” isla said holding her book close to her chest.
“you don’t have to be a model to be beautiful,” max told the girl with a soft smile, lifting her camera to take the picture. “there. perfect,” she said, showing the girl the picture of her. “best one i’ve taken all day. thank you.”
hinoahfinn:
Noah stopped abruptly as he heard the voice talking to him. He looked over at the girl, a little surprised, but his face changed to a soft smile. “Only if I can take a picture of you” He said, lifting the camera that he was holding in his hand.
max felt the heat rising in her cheeks as she began to blush — she was a photographer, not a model, for a reason, after all. “i guess that’s a fair trade,” she conceded with a soft smile. “you first, though,” max told him, raising the camera in her hands to eye level before taking her shot of him.
“Of me? Oh, uhm, sure? Can I ask why?”
“yeah, of you,” she explained, her words blurring together as she talked fast. “it’s just — i’m a photography major, and i’ve been walking around for hours but i haven’t found anything worth taking a picture of. and the way you’re standing right now, the light from the sun is kind of behind your head like a halo — don’t move, okay?” max didn’t wait for a response before she took the picture, pulling back to examine it afterwards.
max fumbled with her camera — she adjusted the lens, the exposure, even switched the angle from which she was shooting, but she couldn’t manage to get a picture worth looking at twice. letting out a sigh of frustration, she all but collapsed onto the bench, chin in her hands as her eyes scanned for anything worth looking at before she caught sight of the figure walking by. “hey,” she called, softly, voice somewhat shaky. “i know this is...weird but can — can i take a picture of you?”
