Psychological torture. Though he doesn’t really gain pleasure from it, he finds it incredibly fascinating to see how you can twist and turn someone’s mind, how far you can push them, and then see the aftermath. To take a person and turn them into someone they themselves or their loved ones wouldn’t recognize. It’s very interesting to him.

The ABSENCE of reaction had the sexta espada snarling and grunting out of displeasure. The way he behaved, so ceremonial, with the hands behind his straight back, so different than Grimmjow’s own behavior, the OPPOSITE even, had the blue haired FREAK baring his FANGS at him.
“Den why da fuck ya here huh ?” Ulquiorra was playing a DANGEROUS game here. Had no one ever told him not to mess with a HOMICIDAL bastard ? Upon hearing the last statement though, Jaggerjack emitted another kind of GROWL, one somewhat PLEASED even if still tainted with DISDAIN. “N’ ya came all da fuckin’ way from I-don’t-fuckin’-know-where to just tell me DAT ?” he retorted suspiciously.
“I have no motives, I was simply curious to see what had become of you. You are one of the few left after all.” He didn’t exactly get lonely, but to know that there was someone alive from the life he had known... it made it all a bit better, even if it was someone who clearly desired to rip his head from shoulders.
Other than Grimmjow he knew that Harribel was still alive, and one other that he was not familiar with, but he hadn’t been interested enough to see how they were doing.

1.Whatever is currently playing. As long as there is music then I’m fine, it rarely has to fit the tone, but usually it’s instrumental or fantasy inspired music.
2.What tropes I dislike depends on what character I write. Generally I’m not a fan of a character having a stupidly tragic backstory that is only used whenever the writer feels like writing angst but then ignored for the rest of the time. It’s annoying.
Can’t really think of many others. Except the whole ‘hiding wounds from your lover’ just because it ruins trusts, and I’ve had to deal with that trope too many times and watched ships get ruined because the one who decided to bring up that trope couldn’t deal with the consequences that came with said trope.

Grimmjow’s greeting was as INSULTING as it used to be at the time of Hueco Mundo. At least, he hadn’t changed in the SLIGHTEST. “I ain’t da one lookin’ like shit.” He had almost CHOKED out of INDIGNATION hearing his rival’s statement. No luck involved in ANYTHING. He was skilled, gifted. He was the KING.
“Ya lookin’ fer a fight ?” Lips drawn back in an aggressive animal snarl, curling themselves slightly. The Pantera bared his FANGS. What other reason could the previously dead then revived Cuatro had to come to him ? Everyone knew they couldn’t stand the presence of each other. At least Grimmjow couldn’t bear the guy. It was hard to say ANYTHING about Ulquiorra and even harder to attribute him any emotion or feeling if you’d ask the Sexta Espada.
The insult didn’t bother Ulquiorra. He had expected the other to be as rude as ever, and it would take a lot for any of Grimmjow’s comments to get under his skin.
“No. I have no reason to fight you.” But if Grimmjow decided to attack then he would defend himself, however he was not going to start a fight. So he kept his distance, his hands folded behind his back as he looked the other over. “You’ve become stronger.” He could sense it from here.
