I love how people often just use Udo instead of making an oc child for Bertholdt. I have seen it with reibert, beruannie, berumin, and even berumaru. That being said, there is one character I have never seen people use to be Udo's other father who makes the most sense in my mind, and that is Marlowe.

If Udo has his dad's looks then he has his father's personality.

As much as I prefer WIT for its animation style and sometimes better pacing, I’ll never understand why they decided to cut a big chunk of chapter 51 - the aftermath of season 2’s final battle.

There’s a lot of good character moments in here: Jean being recognised by Eren on how much he’s changed since Trost, Historia breaking down over Ymir leaving, and of course, Eren worrying over Mikasa’s broken ribs (the eremika vibe is strong with this one)

My only theory is that it’s probably due to not being able to cram it all into the last episode without ruining the pacing, but hey, maybe if you didn’t reveal Ymir’s backstory so early, this wouldn’t have been a problem.

I decided to post all of my answers to the otp question meme:

Verbally, it is Marco, but physically, it is Bertholdt

Bertholdt loves being a little spoon, though sometimes Marco ends up as the little spoon when they wake up.

In the paths it would be about each other's deaths, in castes au it would be about who is staying at who's house during a sleepover.

Watching movies, shows, and or reading stories that Marco is interested at the moment.

Marco, he is strong and likes to princess carry Bertholdt, much to Bertholdt's embarrassment.

Marco loves Bertholdt's eyes, while Bertholdt loves Marco's goofy smile.

Marco doesn't seem to have too much of a noticable difference at first glance, until he goes home and starts screaming into his pillow after recounting every single stupid thing he did in front of Bertholdt. On the other side, Bertholdt became more panicky/awkward around Marco, similar to how he was like in AOT Junior High towards Annie.

Most of the nicknames used for Bertholdt was created by Ymir and Reiner (ie. Bertl, bertie, bertie-boy, tolt, ect.) Though Marco also love using pet names (ie. Honey, sweetie, baby, sugar, pumpkin, ect.) on him. Bertholdt gets nervous using nicknames, but he really wants to, so he just goes with arabic pet names (ie. Albi, habibi, roohi, ect.) Though he does call Marco 'marmar' when drunk.

Bertholdt 100% this guy is the embodiment of anxiety and worry.

They both remember equally. Bertholdt's memory is very strong and Marco loves noticing little details about Bertholdt.

I can actually make a whole post on this topic if you guys are interested. To keep it short, I feel like they switch, but usually Marco tops.

Marco 100%, he initiates a lot of kisses. It is obvious when Bertholdt wants to kiss, but he is too nervous to go through with it.

Bertholdt reaches out more, similar to kissing he is very obvious when he wants affection, plus holding is way easier for him to do in public without getting nervous.

It depends on the mood and where they are, but surprisingly, Bertholdt is more likely to kiss the hardest.

Bertholdt, it is out of habit from making breakfast for his father and doing morning runs with Annie.

Marco tends to stay up at night, so he wakes up late (he sometimes tries to keep Bertholdt in bed with him).

You would think it was Marco, but it was actually Bertholdt. He said it on accident and somehow succeeded.

Bertholdt, he is used to making lunch/breakfast for his parents. It is filled with notes telling Marco how much he loves him, all the things he loves about him, and tiny updates. Marco keeps a drawer full of these letters.

Marco, he is very vocal about his relationship with Bertholdt. I am a firm believer that the bar for RBA trio's communication skills is in hell, but they also know each other very well, so they were able to guess that something good happened.

JCS was mostly confused, but they just rolled with it. Ymir is a supporter, but she also loves bullying Marco on his tastes in men. Marco is probably the only person RA wouldn't feel the need to do a shovel talk to when it comes to Bertholdt.

Marco, he even has a playlist of songs to play at home.

Bertholdt 100%, he usually makes his own meals, so he is more skilled in cooking. Marco tends to go for fast/quick/easy meals since he has a bad habit of overworking himself.

Marco, it is like he makes it his life's mission to see Bertholdt smile and get all blushy around him.

I feel like it is Marco unintentionally. Marco just says whatever comes to mind, so he sometimes just whispers inappropriate stuff to Bertholdt, who knows full and well that he is being completely serious and honest.

Bertholdt 100%, he worries a lot about not being good enough to deserve a relationship, so Marco often reminds him that he is there because he loves him, not because of what he can do for him.

I hc that Bertholdt loves singing, so it would be Bertholdt. He also does it on a rocking chair, just like how his father used to do for him on good days.

Video calls, trying hobbies/tasks the other enjoys, and going to their friends to complain about how much they miss each other.

Marco and Bertholdt weren't close during their time as cadets. While they were friends, Bertholdt was always quiet and distant. He won't do things unless Reiner was there with him. As much as Marco wanted to be close with him, he never wanted to make Bertholdt uncomfortable, so their relationship never progressed.

After their deaths, they became very close and became more willing to confront and learn to overcome their issues.
