hi i'm chloeeeeeee.... i moved from los angeles to new york city to start a whole new chapter of my life - here are my pictures, thoughts, and memories of everything in between.

Pretty Architecture presents: Glass houses S2E3

Milan-based architect Jacopo Mascheroni of JM Architecture designed this futuristic Swiss house with an eye toward the views, and the ultra-contemporary. The hillside home, perched overlooking Lake Lugano, makes the most of the breathtaking vistas through its expansive glazing, while adding a futuristic flair to the home’s look and feel. 

The live work house, home to a financial consultant and her family, is organized in two volumes – the glass-enclosed upper level with an open-concept living room, kitchen and bath; and below grade, the home’s private quarters include two baths, a laundry area, office, playroom, and three bedrooms that open onto a private courtyard. Light, airy yet striking, this glass wall house certainly stands out in this small town.

Day 11: #Tokyo, #Japan For my last meal in Japan, I went to check out #RamenStreet in Tokyo Station, where futuristic vending machines pop out steaming bowls of ramen. Well, not directly, but you get what I mean. I chose tsukemen, the dipping kind - good, but overall I'd have to say NYC/LA is pretty on top of their Japanese food game with St. Mark's. (Mainly Udon West LOL) Peace out, Japan. It's been real. Off to #LAX! #chloes11happydays

Day 10: #Tokyo, #Japan Flew the cutest airline called Peach from #Osaka to Tokyo, straight into a turbulent #storm. 24 hours in Tokyo until I start all over again in #LA... #chloes11happydays #peachairways (at Tokyo, Japan)

Day 9: #Kyoto, #Japan Visited the most gorgeous bamboo forest in #Arashiyama and walked to the sound of #bamboo sticks rustling in the wind, something I could listen to forever. Day 7: #Osaka, #Japan Trip to the #Momofuku Ando Instant Ramen Museum... life is complete. Day 5: #Boracay, #Philippines Filipino food post!! Something that really stands out to me here in the Philippines is the sheer amount of rice consumed during every meal. We've been to several restaurants where unlimited rice balls are served on the side of a bbq chicken platter, and a server like this awesome one at Mang Inasal at D Mall, comes over to provide you with unlimited rice ("Unli Rice") using her little scooper majig. I'm not sure why i'm so fascinated by this, but I am. :) Leaving the Philippines tomorrow looking like a little rice ball. #chloes11happydays (at Mang Inasal - D Mall, Boracay)

Day 4: #Boracay, #Philippines It's all fun and games when you're snorkeling and island hopping until the 13 year-old-boy who's driving the boat intentionally rips and breaks your bikini to...see what's underneath... funny thing is, he said "Look underneath, so many fishies!" right before he did it. *deep breath* #forgiveness LOL. #chloes11happydays Maybe this one should be #chloes1unhappyday (hopefully) (at White Beach, Boracay)
