Ramen para dos? The pictures above were taken at Tokyo Station, they have an underground street called Ramen Street. There you will find Ramen shop after Ramen shop all lined up. I must admit this was the best place to run into after a long walk through Tokyo in the heavy rain. My husband and I were tired, soaked, hungry, dehydrated and COLD. Japan loves it’s vending machines, every ramen shop had a vending machine outside with instructions on how to buy ramen. There is a language barrier and being able to just buy a ticket and pick the item you wanted was awesome for my husband and I who don’t speak Japanese. Japan is also popular for having menus with pictures and prices that are a set price. No worry about taxes or having to pay more. What you do is go up to the vending machine, pick the ramen that you like, deposit your coins and press the button. A ticket pops out, you walk inside, grab a seat and hand your ticket to the employee. If there was one thing my husband and I knew, it was that we wouldn’t go hungry because of this awesome system that they have.
