Evangeline Trevelyan, a young woman struggling against her noble family’s status quo, is chosen by her family to represent their interests when Divine Justinia calls a Conclave for peace. But Evvy’s life unexpectedly changes when disaster strikes the Conclave and draws her into the heart of a very different conflict. Finding herself afflicted with a strange mark on her hand - a curse she does not understand - she finds refuge in a magic castle under the protection of a colorful cast of characters. Together, they brave the current conflict, forging bonds of friendship and love as they do, and try to stem the tide of war before it’s too late.
