This moment is 4 years in the making! I planted a few Feijioa seeds 4 years ago. I got the seeds from a Pineapple Guava from a tasting session with @permacultureacademy. Now 4.5 years later, this one Feijioa plant is almost 8 feet tall and is flowering for the first time in its life!!! I am doing what I can to make sure these little buds turn into the delicious fruit I have been patiently waiting for. The fruit look like little guavas. When you cut them open, they are bright yellow inside and taste like pineapple. This gorgeous plant lives on our balcony, towering over all of our other little trees and plants. My version of a snow white moment: This little lizard was trapped in a bucket of water in the last rain. Aaron found her and got her out of the bucket. It was a chilly day, and this wet little lizard looked cold, so I offered her my warm sweatshirt wearing arm. The lizard accepted the invitation and warmed up on my shoulder. The sun came out from behind the clouds and we both enjoyed a little sunbathing while she sat in my hand. Herb Garden Update 🌿 🌿 At the end of February I taught a workshop about herb gardening to Fairfax High School students through @greenwayartsed. Nearly a month later the seeds not only have sprouted, but they have started growing their true leaves!! The true leaves are the recognizable leaves for identifying the plant type. They have the plant's trademark leave shape.
