It’ll be 20 years next July since the epic film Independence Day first dropped and nearly two decades on were presented with the teaser footage to the follow-up, Resurgence.
Featuring a bunch of returning cast members and plenty of new blood too we're s bit gutted there's no Will Smith but it looks pretty dope anyway.

Well, in Captain America: Civil War, Captain America and the Avengers continue to protect the world, but the team becomes divided after extensive collateral damage prompts politicians to pass an act regulating superhuman activity and sees superheroes Cap and Iron Man face-off to settle a dispute of what appears to be ignited by the Winter Soldier.
Set to drop in May, it looks badass!

ON YOUR RADAR: Homeless Not Hopeless Festival.
This brand new festival aims to use music and the spoken word to connect people who are homeless with those who aren’t. Featuring up and coming bands, professional DJs, insightful talks and spoken word performances, it’s set to be a pretty damn good event. Tickets are available on the door and festival goers will be asked to give a donation of their choice, to ensure the event is open and accessible to all. All profits will be given to the homeless charity Caritas Anchor House.
Based in Newham, East London - Caritas Anchor House is currently appealing against a decision by HMRC to charge them an additional £1 million in VAT, in connection to building works for its Home and Hope Appeal warning that this demand could put hundreds of homeless people and service users at risk. Last year alone, Anchor House provided a home for 231 people, helping 71 into independent living and supporting 63 into employment.
This is a good cause and should be supported. Just take a look at what this charity does caritasanchorhouse.org.uk

Quentin Tarantino’s latest movie is an American Western film set some years after the Civil War, and revolves around eight strangers who seek refuge in a stagecoach stopover on a mountain pass during a blizzard.
Starring Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Walton Goggins, Demián Bichir, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, and Bruce Dern as well as Tarantino in front and behind the camera, the plot is summarised best below:
“Set six or eight or twelve years after the Civil War, a stagecoach hurtles through the wintry Wyoming landscape. The passengers, bounty hunter John Ruth (Kurt Russell) and his fugitive Daisy Domergue (Jennifer Jason Leigh), race towards the town of Red Rock where Ruth, known in these parts as “The Hangman,” will bring Domergue to justice. Along the road, they encounter two strangers: Major Marquis Warren (Samuel L. Jackson), a black former union soldier turned infamous bounty hunter, and Chris Mannix (Walton Goggins), a southern renegade who claims to be the town’s new Sheriff. Losing their lead on the blizzard, Ruth, Domergue, Warren and Mannix seek refuge at Minnie’s Haberdashery, a stagecoach stopover on a mountain pass. When they arrive at Minnie’s, they are greeted not by the proprietor but by four unfamiliar faces: Bob (Demian Bichir), who’s taking care of Minnie’s while she’s visiting her mother, is holed up with Oswaldo Mobray (Tim Roth), the hangman of Red Rock, cow-puncher Joe Gage (Michael Madsen), and Confederate General Sanford Smithers (Bruce Dern). As the storm overtakes the mountainside stopover, our eight travelers come to learn they may not make it to Red Rock after all…”

Stumbled across these sick YouTube videos posted in anticipation of the BBC's Grime Symphony in August.
The event will feature the likes Skepta, Stormzy, Chip and waaaaaay more who’ll take on a live orchestra at The Royal Albert Hall in London.
For now, hold tight and tune in to the events host, 1Xtra's Sian Anderson who presents us with a pack of MCs and their bars set against the melodic sounds of violins and other stringed instruments.

Starring Sylvester Stallone, Michael B. Jordan, Tessa Thompson, Phylicia Rashad and Anthony Bellew, it looks quite punchy with a bit more grit than its predecessor but with out detracting from the original saga we great up with and totally dig, look this way for a fresh viewpoint on what could be a damn decent film.
*Synopsis* Adonis Johnson (Michael B. Jordan) never knew his famous father, world heavyweight champion Apollo Creed, who died before he was born. Still, there’s no denying that boxing is in his blood, so Adonis heads to Philadelphia, the site of Apollo Creed’s legendary match with a tough upstart named Rocky Balboa. Once in the City of Brotherly Love, Adonis tracks Rocky (Sylvester Stallone) down and asks him to be his trainer. Despite his insistence that he is out of the fight game for good, Rocky sees in Adonis the strength and determination he had known in Apollo—the fierce rival who became his closest friend. Agreeing to take him on, Rocky trains the young fighter, even as the former champ is battling an opponent more deadly than any he faced in the ring. With Rocky in his corner, it isn’t long before Adonis gets his own shot at the title…but can he develop not only the drive but also the heart of a true fighter, in time to get into the ring?
Scheduled to release in November this year, it’s definitely worth a look in.

The Red Hook Criterium Breaks Out In London.
Imagine if Rockstar Games, the team behind the Grand Theft Auto franchise, produced a cycling game. Now imagine if that cycling game was IRL. Now take it one step further and visualise that real-world cycling game actually taking place around the streets of London...
Yep, it’s a reality - Rockstar Games presents the Red Hook Criterium Championship Series this July around the city’s Greenwich Peninsula.
So what is the Red hook Crit? Well kids, it’s a cycling race like no other - using fixed gear bikes (no brakes or gears!), it is an adrenalin fuelled, fast paced and visually spectacular event that is open to every kind of cyclist – from professionals, to bike couriers, through to your commuter, weekend bikers.
It’s basically like the F1 of cycling, with grid positions and races taking place all day but importantly, it is completely democratic - the underdog has the chance to prevail as its just as much about skills, power and daring as it is pure fitness and experience.
One of the most adrenalin-charged bike races in the world, it’s already pretty big news in New York, Milan and Barcelona having rapidly grown since its humble beginnings in Red Hook, Brooklyn in 2008. Set to be a truly awesome event. So go.
